In the spirit of the holiday season, the Mountain Home News hosts a children's coloring contest and invites youngsters across the community to showcase their artistic abilities. Parents are asked to cut out one of the two coloring pages published in the Mountain Home News or the Mountain Home Patriot and have their children decorate one or the other using crayons, colored pencils or paint...

A fire Sunday evening caused an unspecified amount of damage to the U.S. Bank branch in Glenns Ferry. The fire was reported around 10 p.m. with crews quickly containing the flames. The bank manager at the Glenns Ferry branch is requesting that customers use the branch office in Mountain Home until they can reopen their office...

Alfred D. Stokesberry, 67 of Mountain Home, passed away on Nov. 14, 2015, at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Marion Elliott "Boots" Lewis, 63 of Mountain Home, passed away Nov. 13, 2015 at a Boise hospital with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery...
