High school adds students to National Honor Society

Students prepare to take their oaths of office during this year's National Honor Society induction ceremony at Mountain Home High School.

Honoring traditions of citizenship, leadership, character, service and scholarship, the local chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed nearly 30 students into the organization during a ceremony Oct. 28.

"The purpose of National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate the desire to render service, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of secondary schools," said local NHS president Macey Holland. "With this ceremony, we are welcoming and inducting our new members who have exemplified these traits."
