The golf season ended for the Mountain Home girls and boys golf teams at the District Tournament at Falcon Crest last Monday. The Mountain Home girls golf team finished in fifth place at district. Middleton won the event with a team total of 363, Bishop Kelly was a distant second at 390, Skyview was third with a 430 score, Nampa came in fourth at 460, Mountain Home was fifth with a 485, Columbia came in at 562, Kuna at 565 and Emmett shot a 576...

Mountain Home Mountain Man wrestler Charlie Shoemaker recently competed at the State Mountain Man Wrestling Tournament in Lewiston where he placed fourth in Greco-Roman and fifth in freestyle. He also qualified to be on the national freestyle team that will compete in Fargo, N.D., this summer. As plans continue to create a Veterans Administration expansion clinic in Mountain Home, the regional center in Boise has begun enrolling new patients and transferring existing ones to receive care once the facility here opens.
