VA seeks patients for fall opening of Mountain Home clinic

As plans continue to create a Veterans Administration expansion clinic in Mountain Home, the regional center in Boise has begun enrolling new patients and transferring existing ones to receive care once the facility here opens.

Located at 815 North 6th Street next to to Elmore Medical Center, the clinic remains on track to open by this fall, said Josh Callihan, a spokesman with the Boise VA Medical Center.

Unexpected delays in needed construction put plans about four to five months behind scheduled. Originally, the VA expected to open the clinic in March.
