Donation Car Wash being held 30 July and 13 August for Marching Tigers

The Mountain Home High School Band Boosters and members of the Marching Tigers are trying to raise funds to help with replacement costs for new color guard flags and drum heads for the drum line. "Band equipment isn't cheap and we will need to raise about $1000 for these two items", said Walt Rueger the band booster's director of fundraising. The newest addition on the Local Joe "Shop Local" campaign is the use of QR codes. A QR code is a two dimensional bar code created by a Japanese corporation in 1994. QR stands for quick response. All smart phones (i.e. Iphone, Blackberry, Druids, etc) have free applications available to scan a QR code. By scanning the code, you go to their business web site and find offers or information. You can star the business to remember to visit again and read and write reviews. Technology is amazing!...

Burn Ban in effect

Due to the high fire danger in Elmore County and the fact that all the fire districts already have burn bans in effect, Elmore County Sheriff Rick Layher has issued a burn ban for all of Elmore County effective immediately.
