The Mountain Home High School Band Boosters and members of the Marching Tigers are trying to raise funds to help with replacement costs for new color guard flags and drum heads for the drum line. "Band equipment isn't cheap and we will need to raise about $1000 for these two items", said Walt Rueger the band booster's director of fundraising. The car washes will be held 30 July and 13 August at the Pizza Hut on Air Base Road from 11 am to 3 pm.

Last year the High School Band took third place at the District Three competition, while the percussion and color guard received a 4th place recognition. They also finished first at the Caldwell competition. "I have high hopes for the band this year", said Sarah Alley the Drum Major, "we have a lot of dedicated people in band who have been practicing all summer to get ready for the new season".
