It turns out, I'm not the only one who would like such discount. Check out this company's Web site: http://flyderrie-air.com/ The airline charges people by the pound to fly because," it takes more fuel--more energy--to get more weight from point A to point B. So we will charge passengers based on how much mass they add to the plane." Sounds good to me, I thought. I can fly from Philly to Chicago for $1.40 a pound. At 147 pounds, it will cost me $205 to make the one-way trip. However, using Orbtiz.com, I can get a ticket for $98. To go from Philly to the city of angles, the fare is $2.25 a pound, or $330.75 for a me-size person. Using Orbtiz.com again, the same fare is $216. I'm a total news junkie, I spend a lot of time online at various news sites. If I find a story where someone does something totally stupid or I wonder "what were they thinking?" I don't mind pointing it out incase others missed it or taking my best guess at what they were thinking. I like to laugh, I like to make others laugh. There's so much serious and wrong stuff going on in the news that when I find an unusual or light story, I like to use it. And while real life news events might be the focus of many of my blogs, I'm just trying to entertain you, make you laugh and maybe even think about something you didn't know before reading. I'm not trying to break any serious news or deliver any hard-hitting coverage. You'll have to read a paper or watch one of the network shows for that.
