Montepeque pleas ‘not guilty’

On Dec. 17, 2018 Abner Montepeque was arraigned for two cases. Montepeque pled not guilty on three counts of rape of a child under 16 by force in the first case. He also pled not guilty on five counts of sexually exploitative material of a child. The state motioned for the two cases to be combined for trial to which the defense agreed. The trial is expected to last for three days and is scheduled for May 7,9, and 10, 2019...

Everetts Celebrate 50 years of marriage

Ken and Arlene Everett began their life together in Spearfish, SD, on Dec. 27, 1968. A special friend of both, Lyle Wells, introduced Ken and Arlene while attending Black Hills State University. Both taught in Spearfish before moving to Mountain Home, ID, in the fall of 1969. Ken coached basketball, football and baseball at the high school before becoming an administrator at the Jr. High and then the high school. He completed his educational career as an elementary principal at West Elementary...
