Dear editor: I was walking to work this morning and the crossing guard at American Legion and 10th (Maverick corner) was terribly shaken up. She shared with me that she had been nearly hit, yet again, by a car that had nearly hit her a while back. The driver mouthed "sorry" but that did little to soothe the crossing guard's nerves...

Dear Editor: Thank you volunteers! The area between I-84 and the Mountain Home Golf Course is an authorized Community Scout Camp for use by any scout group. Also, The city has obtained an easement across private property and built an extension of the Community Walk Path from 18th Street across Abbotts Canyon to the existing golf course sign. We hope to soon find grant funds to pave this portion...
