It has become a tradition at the Mountain Home News each Christmas to print letters submitted to Santa Claus by local area children. Baudilla "Nen" Daly, 70, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 20, 2012, after an almost three-year battle with Alzheimer's. Nen is fondly remembered for her indomitable spirit, her zest for life and her love for her family. Never one to sit still, she had many activities that she enjoyed doing, whether rollerblading all over town, snowmobiling in the hills or some sort of craft; she seemed to do any and every thing constantly on the go...

Sharon Kay Cutler, 61, of Mountain Home, passed away on December 7, 2012 at her home. Sharon was born on Dec. 27, 1950, in Wendell, to Paul "Bud" Marlow and Vida M. Marlow. She was the fifth and youngest sibling. The family moved to Hailey in 1967 after selling their dairy farm and acreage. She graduated from Wood River High School in 1969...
