Sharon Cutler

Sharon Kay Cutler, 61, of Mountain Home, passed away on December 7, 2012 at her home.

Sharon was born on Dec. 27, 1950, in Wendell, to Paul "Bud" Marlow and Vida M. Marlow. She was the fifth and youngest sibling. The family moved to Hailey in 1967 after selling their dairy farm and acreage. She graduated from Wood River High School in 1969.

Sharon married Carl Cutler on June 27, 1969, and enjoyed a child care business for two years. They moved to Jerome in 1971 where she opened another successful child care business in their home for 18 years. She relocated to Ketchum in 1989 to assist her father in managing the Ski View Lodge and continued doing so after her father's passing.

After Carl retired from the Idaho Army National Guard in 1993, he moved to the Ski View Lodge where Sharon and Carl continued to manage the lodge until it sold in 2002.

She moved to Mountain Home and opened her own house cleaning business and joined a bowling team sponsored by The Sunset Pub, where she made many friends.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Mark Cutler, of Elko, Nev., and Shane Cutler, of Winooski, Vt.; a daughter-in-law, Rani Swindle, of Vancouver, Wash.; two granddaughters, Skye Cutler, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Devin Swindle, of Paris, Tenn.; two sisters, Barbara Taylor, of Buhl, and Gloria and her husband, Ken DeThorne, of Mountain Home; sister-in-law Sylvia Marlow, of Idaho Falls; aunt Mona Marlow, of Wendell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by: her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law Chet and Dorothy Cutler; brother-in-law Ronald Taylor; and two brothers, Charles "Butch" Marlow and Tom Marlow.

Sharon dedicated her life to love and care for her immediate and extended family as well as the children of many other families. Family and friends were always very important to her and she cherished opportunities for friends and family members to gather, chat, tell stories, laugh and celebrate.

In celebration of her life and all those she touched, friends and family members are invited to a memorial service to be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, 500 N. 18th East St., Mountain Home, at 11 a.m. Following the service, family and friends will gather at American Legion Post 26, located at 515 E. 2nd South St.
