One of the fun events of the fall season is the opening of Quey's Maze at a farm near Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park. This year's cornfield maze is based on a dollar theme. The maze will be open Sept. 19 until Oct. 31 on Fridays from 4-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m...

Serenity Grace Ann Miller was born the morning of Nov. 9, 2007, and went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 3:16 on the afternoon of Sept. 17, 2009. Charles E. Cheney died Sept. 12, 2009, in Roseville. Minn. He was married to the former Arta Isaac of Mountain Home.

Elizabeth Frances Lawson, 96, passed peacefully in her sleep Sept., 18, 2009. Elizabeth was born Feb. 25, 1913, in Cresco, Iowa, to Barbara (nee Zoback) and David Hutton, the third of ten children with three brothers and six sisters. Her parents moved to Milltown, Wisc., where Elizabeth attended school...

A 366th Fighter Wing Airman died Sept. 20 while deployed to southwest Asia. Senior Airman Matthew R. Courtois, 366th Security Forces Squadron, died as a result of non-combat related injuries while on duty at Abdullah al Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait.

Yvonne "Bonnie" A. Sveum, 80, of Mountain Home, passed away with her loving family at her side, on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, from a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, located at 1190 N. Sixth East St., in Mountain Home. Harold A. Workman, 89, of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16,2009.
