A Western Music and Poetry Gathering will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Broken Circle Cattle Ranch from 4-6:30 p.m. Performers will include: The cost is $20 per person for those 12 years of age and older, and $10 for those under age 12. The Mountain Home Lady Tigers dropped their season opening volleyball match to Bishop Kelly last Thursday night, 3-0. After shooting a 73 on the first day, Tom Hart went on to score four over par in the second day of competition to win the men's championship flight title at the 2009 Desert Canyon Golf Course Club Championship held Aug. 22 and 23. By all rights, Mike Parkinson should have never hit the target. As he sat in the tree stand several feet above the ground, the odds were already stacked against him. The donations the shelter needs includes any brand of dry dog/puppy food and preferably canned cat/kitten food and any brand of cat litter.
