MHAFB pass and ID office moved

The Visitor Control Center's pass and identification office moved June 15 as part of a cost-saving measure here. The office moved into Bldg. 800 on Phantom Avenue across the street from the Air Force Office of Special Investigation building here. Moving the office to a centralized point on base will help streamline non-Department of Defense card holder's entry onto base by allowing their vehicles to be searched in one location and proceed to the pass and ID to complete all necessary paperwork, said John Lawicki, 366th Security Forces physical security manager.. ...

112 new base housing units to be opened soon

Hammers pound away a steady beat in the unrelenting June sun as construction workers put the finishing touches on new houses. It's a sign of things to come for those stationed here. Contractors finished work and people moved into homes on the first loop of the base's Phase 5 project in October 2006. The second loop of homes in this construction phase are scheduled for completion by August, opening up 51 new housing units here on Raymond Smart Circle, said Elfie S. Stoehr, base housing manager...
