MHAFB pass and ID office moved

Thursday, June 21, 2007

The Visitor Control Center's pass and identification office moved June 15 as part of a cost-saving measure here.

The office moved into Bldg. 800 on Phantom Avenue across the street from the Air Force Office of Special Investigation building here.

Moving the office to a centralized point on base will help streamline non-Department of Defense card holder's entry onto base by allowing their vehicles to be searched in one location and proceed to the pass and ID to complete all necessary paperwork, said John Lawicki, 366th Security Forces physical security manager.

Long-term passes such as contractor's badges, student and long-term house guests, will now be issued from the new pass and ID office.

The visitor control center at the main gate will still issue temporary visitor passes, and the Grand View Gate guards will issue temporary passes to commercial vehicle drivers and business guests.
