  • Nice Rant, I found myself arguing with my Mother in a restaurant in the Peoples Republic of Oregon recently. Finally I cried out in frustration, "He is a socialist, thats the problem!" The place got quiet, did I say that out loud? All was well when I was informed that she watched MSNBC for her news!

    Case closed, ha

  • I have always said, until something really awful happens, we will not all pull together. Some of us are waiting, watching, being prepared......M

  • Nicely stated, Zook. I can feel your anger and frustration oozing out your words. I understand it. It's like we're watching this once great country become a train wreck and we feel powerless to stop it. So, we get on these little blogs and rant because, in some small way, we hope we're making a difference. Unfortunately, there's too many people out there who have gotten used to all the freebies the government hands out and will sell this country out to keep the welfare checks, food stamps, and "free" health care. But me and my family are preparing, too.

  • "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security" Delaration of Independence July 4, 1776

  • IS that any different than hannity ,stossel, cavuto, limbaugh ??????

I CANT VOUCH FOR ANY OTHERS BUT I read incessantly.

What is cinsidered softening on Iran???? Is the only way to go is to start a war?????HOW MUCH OF THAT CAN WE STAND????? I WOULD THINK IF WE CAN ACCOMPLISH THE GOALS WITHOUT BOMBS IT WOULD BE A GOOD THING.I stated in depth what was going on but I guess comming from a so called liberal it was ignored.WE cannot stay on a war time footing indefenitly,if we do we will only weaken ourselfes....10 yrs ....time to rest and rearm for god sake or do we want another genreration that knows nothing but War.

Israel knows we are commited to them they dont want a war either and all the politics in the world wont change that. They will say what they need for political reasons so will we, but we both know were it's at.

Hate blinds a soldier,to be effective that has got to be channelized to achieving the desired goals, quickly, and effeciently at a reasonable cost to yourself and your enemy.Objectivity is the name of the game ,that is what makes geo politics such a pain in the butt.

GOT A NEW PUBLICATION...ZOOK....INTRESTING FACTS ON THE F-15se.....latter

I'm glad that you are reading the bible. That is a great way to learn how to live. You know, like the most famous socialist, Jesus. Maybe you skipped over the whole give to the poor stuff. Since you are reading Mathew, be sure to check out Mathew 19:21 - "Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

I would encourage you, however, to update your reading collection to modern works about things like the economy and maybe find out some more things about the present world and then maybe you too could join our cause and then you could be closer to Jesus' teachings as well. It would be a win-win.

I think it may calm you down too. Just remember, the sun will come up tomorrow, unless that Nazi Barack Obama has plans on taking that away too.

  • Yes, let's all give our money to the government, where it will get to the people in need. It makes me feel all warm and tingly knowing that my family's taxes are going to help the GSA office give themselves a lavish Vegas bash to the tune of $880,000 taxpayers money. I feel better already.

  • What most on here truly abhor is totalitarian rule.

Hitler was not a socialist. They included that in the name of their party as a way of luring in potential recruits. Hitler was a master manipulator and knew how to rope people into his cause. Also, the term socialist had a slightly different meaning in Germany at that time. It was not about income redistribution, it was about making a specific society superior to another. He was all about nationalism and absolute power. Economics was just a tool that he used to woo the masses into thinking that he was something more than just an autocrat.

  • For instance,

Instead of relying solely on emotions, unfounded notions, and rhetoric why do we not just look at the economic history of communist/totalitarian. They all failed for reasons that are endemic to the system. In other words, they all failed economically because it is not sustainable. If you want facts, I could easily supply it. See, there was no fire and brimstone and the point should still be abundantly clear.
