    A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.

    ~~~
    Well, there's a very simple answer.
    ~~~

    Nobody bothered to check the oil.

    ~~~
    We just didn't know we were getting low.
    ~~~

    The reason for that is purely geographical.

    ~~~
    Our OIL is located in:
    ~~~

    ALASKA

    ~~~
    California
    ~~~

    Coastal Florida

    ~~~
    Coastal Louisiana
    ~~~

    Coastal Alabama

    ~~~~
    Coastal Mississippi
    ~~~~

    Coastal Texas

    ~~~
    North Dakota
    ~~~

    Wyoming

    ~~~
    Colorado
    ~~~

    Kansas

    ~~~
    Oklahoma
    ~~~

    Pennsylvania

    ~~~
    And
    ~~~

    Texas~~~

    Our dipsticks are located in DC

    ~~~
    Any Questions? NO? Didn't think So.
  • As automakers are starting to bring electric vehicle technology into the mainstream, conservative media outlets have repeatedly misled consumers about electric cars by trying to paint them as environmentally harmful and unsafe, among other false claims.
  • Buckshot61 You must of missed this
    Read below
    "Our findings are specific to China, which has electrical power plants that emit high amounts of particulate matter pollution and a population that has high numbers of people living in rural areas where power plants are located," Marshall said. "We're curious to take this research to the next step to see if we find similar results in other countries."
  • Buckshot61
    Just in case your wondering who "Marshall" is in the above statement I posted he was another researcher
    Cherry worked with Matthew Bechle and Julian Marshall from the University of Minnesota and Ye Wu from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
  • So many links are those that have a dog in the fight, so they tilt left or right. I try my best to only use non-partisan links, CBO etc.
    Not to cloud the air, but the air here in Idaho was at GROUND LEVEL in CHINA day before yesterday or the day before that. And unless it magically got cleansed by the jet stream, it HAS those pollutants the hill-billie resarchers in Tennessee say they found.
    I have COPD and a majority of MY air come from 99.99 percent PURE OXYGEN so I am not seriously impacted.
    Oh, by the way, did anyone out there notice that air here in Idaho DID SHOW significant INCREASES of radioactvity less than 100 HOURS after the earthquake and sunami in Japan? BEFORE the earth quit shaking, and half a world away....
    We the people of PLANET EARTH must learn to live together or we WILL eventually DIE together.
    Unless of course the ancients were correct and the world ends in December.
    Obama said yesterday that American ingenuity COULD rise from this GLOBAL financial crisis GIVEN a Level playing field....
    Where is there a level playing field on a spherical object (Planet Earth) roatating on a wobbly axis, in orbit around a dying star, traveling through the vacuum of SPACE at near the speed of light?
  • Well then Zook I guess you can then agree that obamacare wasn't a bad idea........ after all he got the template from Romney !
    Santorum wants No contraceptions for anyone... I'm not talking about insurance companys having to pay for them. I'm talking about you won't be able to buy them any where. This is what I heard and if it's true he is pretty darn scary!!
    Do you know if thats really true?
    I still like that cute little man Ron Paul.......He puts a BIG smile on my face. I wish I would of gotten to see him today
    -- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Feb 16, 2012, at 3:44 PM
  • I don't have to worry about Santorum mandating the use of Contraceptions. LOL! But there are those that certainly need them, think of all the unwanted baby's the tax payers are going to have to support. Think of prophylactics that protect against HIV or STD. What will happen to Medicaid and Medicare if those items can't be bought
    -- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Feb 16, 2012, at 6:27 PM
  • We certainly will need more foster homes.... If no one can have an abortion..... Will you open your home buckshot61 ??
    -- Posted by royincaldwell on Thu, Feb 16, 2012, at 6:42 PM
  • I didn't assume anything Buckshot61 I only asked
    I guess we have something in common after all :)
    -- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Feb 16, 2012, at 6:57 PM
  • Not tax payers .......Insurance companys will pay.
    making them more affordable "FREE" including the pill. Which in case you didn't know the male kind have been free at welfare have been for at least 30 years unless they stopped that. One of my foster kids got some from his social worker when he was 12 years old. Social worker thought he was going to use them as water balloons Not So !
    Me and the social worker went round and round over that ....long time ago
  • Well of coarse they will raise the premiums but then they have the option to not want it......
    -- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Feb 16, 2012, at 8:45 PM
    "They" can 'not want it', but "Their" insurance cost is still going to reflect it, to a degree. Nothing is free
