Where I’m “comin’ From”

This is just a short tag on my last blog .

By and large....the MAIN difference between my 2-branch military career, and my civilian life.......is the order of two words.  On active duty, it was "YOU WILL!"

But as a civilian.........."You will" immediately became "Will you?"

Military life is tough and regimented because it HAS to be.  Each of us who has worn a uniform THOROUGHLY UNDERSTOOD that before we "signed and swore."

Every time you re-enlist for another hitch, you know the drill.  Daily life is a "MANDATE".  You are STUCK....and it is self-imposed.  YOU volunteered.  YOU did it.  You do NOT give even the WORST boss a "2-week notice", then walk out the gate-----unless you want to walk INTO Leavenworth.  That's just the way it is.

But when I retired from active duty in August of 1988-------when I took my uniform off for the last time.................I TOOK IT OFF.

As a FREE AMERICAN.....I will NOT be told what I can do, what to eat, what to drink, what to wear, what I can say or NOT say.

I salute NO ONE, nor address ANYBODY as "sir" unless I FEEL like it.  I am no longer "government property."

And "respect" has to be earned.   The guy I'm talking to, puts his pants on one leg at a time just like I do.   "Titles" don't mean JACK to me.  I'm not in "awe" of anybody, I had more respect for my old Platoon Sergeant 45 years ago, than I've had for our last 4 presidents.

I trust our DOG more than I do any of our senators.

A title or position doesn't make that person BETTER than you....or me.  If some cop in California catches ME doing 95 in a 75 and I get fined $100.00 for it------------and the following day he catches Dianne Feinstein doing 95 in a 75..........I want HER fined $100.00 as well.  If you truly believe in "equality", you'd HAVE to agree.

ANY gun owner on this blogsite knows FULL WELL what the ATF would do if they caught YOU trafficking just ONE firearm.  Just ONE!  They LIVE "for the moment" to bust one of US........don't they, guys?

I want something DONE with Holder.  Being the "Attorney General of the United States of America"------doesn't make him some privileged character.  If anything, HE should be doing it CLEANER than the REST of us.......setting some kind of example.

The office of the PRESIDENT is the highest position in the land.  If Barack Obama and I are BOTH CITIZENS of this country,  he is NO BETTER than I am.....just better paid., and if I have to obey the laws of the land, so does HE!....and that goes for Bush, Romney or anyone else.

But Obama is on "ACTIVE DUTY" now.....just as I was for 22 years, and as such (and ESPECIALLY as "Commander-in-Chief")........I expect him to HONOR the oath that he & I both took. 

I couldn't just make up MY own rules as I went along, and I was EXPECTED to follow the same Constitution I swore to "protect and defend."..............so as far as I'M concerned, HE DOESN'T GET TO "BEND ANYTHING" EITHER!

NOWHERE in HIS oath nor MINE....does it say......."if it suits me"......or "when I feel like it"............

If I'd had MY way about it, George Bush would have sat in prison instead of those two border agents.........

-------------------HEY!........I don't play "favorites", a bum is a bum!  And Obama is potentially a DANGEROUS "bum"........does what he wants, answers to NO ONE.

Why bother fighting a 4-year CIVIL WAR to free the slaves.......only to turn around 150 years later, and just go WILLINGLY?

I've seen ENOUGH government intrusion.  

They are NOT MY "mommy & daddy.  Maybe they're YOURS----but they ain't MINE!

Remember the big CENSUS packets we all got in the mail?  Know what I wrote on MINE?-------under the heading of how many people live here......I put down TWO..........and sent it back.  It's nobody's friggin' business how much we make.....how much we paid for the house, or how much we pay every month for "this & that".......

Hey.....yeah........"and the horse they rode IN on!"  I'm just DYIN' for some bureaucrat to do a "doorstep follow-up" on this!

My "baloney" (just for Brenda)......my "baloney tolerance level" is nowhere NEAR what it once was....and it never WAS very good to begin with.

And let me tell you THIS------you "Democrats" and "Republicans" out there..............:   When you VOTE only the way your party TELLS you to.............and when you SUPPORT only the principles your party TELLS you to.............

............You are NO LONGER THINKING FOR YOURSELF........and you only LIE to yourself if you say otherwise.

And one final word to JYD........(who" doesn't think I've ever learned to be an American")..........................

I put OUR country and sovereignty AHEAD of all else.  I do NOT just "rollover", "accept" and "compromise" on that old weak-kneed standby----------"Well, that's just how things ARE today......"

I do NOT accept socialism, mandates, takeovers, intrusion, organized theft, treason, extortion, fraud and the dismantlement of our Constitution and RIGHTS as some kind of "norm"

I'm not "OK" with ANYTHING that degrades or seeks to dissolve our nation, nor set it up for a dictatorship or a "One World Order."

If you want to stand with a few others on this blog and "help the burglars find everything while they're robbing you".........hey, that's YOUR business.

I'm gonna be 64 shortly, JYD, but will still walk out that front door tomorrow if necessary and defend what we have left, against any intrusion or invasion.........."both FOREIGN and DOMESTIC." It's been over 40 years now, but I haven't forgotten a thing.

That's where ZOOK  the "civilian" stands.

When it all "hits the fan"....we'll SEE who the "Americans" are.
