  • I'm with ya all the way, Mike. And while were discussing brainwashing and the resultant decline by our rightous government Big Brothers, here is an item that should be seen by those who are just sitting and watching the world go by. • I can take care of myself. But thanks for the warning.

I'm waiting for the ambush, and I fully expected it when I posted. Come one, come all. The more the merrier.

  • *

Elmore County is not without employees, nor is the City of Mountain Home.

Do they have snow removal equipment that would let you drive I-84 to Boise for emergency medical treatment during blizzard conditions?

Or would they give you and three of your neighbors a $3000 plus helicopter ride on a perfectly clear dry night? for non-life threatening injuries?

  • Here is something from a mathematically challenged person.

If your check-book doesn't balance, the checks will bounce.

If you give away money entrusted to you by faithful taxpayers-to corporations. You most certainly have robbed Peter to Pay Paul.

If you keep throwing good money after bad-sooner or later, you will run out of money.

No One so far has pointed out how many car dealerships were closed down in spite of the bail-outs to GM. Several hundred people lost their jobs and their revenue.

The bail-out monies should have gone right back to the tax-payer who would have in turn spent it on new cars, homes and other revenue producing items. They would have paid their own debt down and would have been in better financial shape to start their own businesses.

The list could go on and on. It didnt' happen and we aren't in any better shape than we were before.

It will only be when we demand accountability from out elected officials that the deficit will start to be paid down.

cut some line items in their budgets first and see if they are a little more motivated to get the job done that they were elected to do.

We are only throwing pennies at an insurmountable mountain of debt. The sad thing is that elections are far more important and all of this posturing is getting old.
