The “(D)”……and the “(R)”

For most Americans today.........THAT is the only criteria needed for voting for a candidate.

"That's ALL that matters"-----"STRAIGHT TICKET.......It was good enough for grandma & grandpa, so by golly, it's good enough for ME!

What a fabulous philosophy..........voting made easy.........no actual THOUGHT required!

Now, there probably IS a "touch" of credibility in that school of thought, because back in grandma and grandpa's day, the 2 major parties actually WERE--------"who they were and what they stood for", and it was a pretty safe bet that if you were a Democrat or a Republican.........ANYBODY you voted for with that "SACRED" (D) or (R) after their name....actually believed and supported the exact same things that YOU did.  It was a GIVEN....and you could take it to the bank.

But here in 2012.......there is MUCH to fear besides "fear itself"....NOBODY "Likes Ike"........and instead of "asking what we can do for our country"------it has become, "ask what the country can GIVE to US!"

Under our Constitution...."we the people" are the BOSS.  Not the government that we merely elect to "represent us."  When the "boys back east" start setting themselves up to make every decision that affects us, and begin to take the forms of  "supreme lords and masters"......it's out JOB to get RID of them.  (Take the time to read the Declaration of Independence.........it was paid for in BLOOD for all of us).

Back to the voting blocks.........the fact that we have "RINO's" and "Bluedogs", is LIVING PROOF that the guy/gal you THINK is on your side....can in fact be bought & paid for.------------that "beloved" {D} or {R} after their name, doesn't necessarily mean JACK-BO-DIDDLY!

We all like to get on these blogs, and write letters to newspaper editors, etc, so we can "make our voices be heard"............ok, fine.....ya feel better now?  And if we can appear to have won a "blog argument.....that's even BETTER, isn't it?

But when it's just US by ourselves....sitting at the table with a cup of coffee.....no one else around......do we actually know what we're doing?  It's just US right now.....nobody around to try to impress....as we take that next sip of caffeine, HOW "awake" are we?

We all have personal values and beliefs.  Does every candidate in YOUR bracket ( ) think the way YOU do?....believe and support what YOU believe and support?

You ASSUME he does----I mean after all.....he IS a ( ) or an ( ), isn't he?  Ya SURE about that?  Are ya?

Well, how they vote on issues, is how they actually think.  Their voting records in the House or Senate, are matters of public record.  You aren't reading my blog right now unless you have a computer....which means you could take a few minutes and LOOK some of these records up, concerning the candidates of your choice.

But you WON'T, and they KNOW that and COUNT on it.....that you'll just keep doing what you've ALWAYS done and just keep taking their WORD that they're coming clean with you.

That's how these CAREER POLITICIANS stay in power, decade after decade.  They've become "household names" and you trust them because of all this  "vast experience" they have.   

Ok.....so........"How's that working out for ya?  We're almost 16 trillion in the hole now.  Still got a job?........What's your property worth today?  When was the last time YOU got bailed-out?  When did YOU ever get a BONUS instead of being laid off?

"But....but.......we can't elect any NEW guys......they might be DISHONEST!!"

WHAT DO YOU THINK WE'VE BEEN DEALING WITH ALREADY FOR ALL THESE YEARS?????

HOW, pray tell..........could it get any WORSE?

There is NOTHING to lose.....and a lot to be gained, if you really think about it.  The "New guy" is FRESH from the streets, and having just LIVED out here....he's got a pretty fair idea of what IS needed in this country.  What does Obama, Gingrich, Feinstein or McCain know about how hard it is to "make ends meet?  These people (and most of their "old crock" buddies back there are ROLLIN' in it!)

The guys you've been supporting term after term, probably DID start out with good intentions.  But with continued power, prestige and extravagant lifestyles.....comes CORRUPTION,,,,,,,,,,,,your "coveted" representative has all that experience and "certainly" knows what he's doing."

Yes he DOES!  He has off-shore property holdings and a Swiss bank account to prove it too, while YOU get nothing out of it but another TAX BILL of some kind............oops, I'm sorry.......gotta be "correct" here...."Revenue Enhancement Fees."  (wouldn't want to OFFEND anybody).

I'll be 64 in a couple of months, and in all my life I have NEVER seen THIS MUCH CORRUPTION.   I'm also sad to say that I've also never seen so many numb people in this country (on both sides), who put "party pride" over all else..........while our "re-elected heroes and heroines" back there continue to give it all away....and hit you up for more.

......and so many of you out there keep GOING FOR IT!!

Why is it that we ALL want results..........but too few are actually willing to do what it's gonna take to get it done?  Is there some little "cartoon devil" riding on your shoulder when you walk into that voting booth.   For once in your life, you pick up that old #2 pencil and actually INTEND to vote for the PERSON instead of the party....but you still "give-in" to that little devil when he taps you and says...."UH-UH!!....come on now...........what would Grandma Daisy or Great Uncle Clarence think??"

Grandma Daisy and Great Uncle Clarence aren't AROUND anymore to have to LIVE HERE in 2012.  To the best of MY knowledge, there aren't any mortgage payments due in Heaven.    (and you can BET there's nobody from the IRS up there!)

Before too long, there's a lot of US who won't have to deal with this crap either.................

But THEY WILL!..............got any of THESE hangin' around anywhere??  DO YA?........There's not ONE of them who asked to be brought into this world, and it shouldn't be THEIR burden to clean up after US, because of our pig-headed foolishness., and stupid family-party pride.

And I'm talkin' to BOTH SIDES.

Let's keep "Grandma Daisy" and "Great Uncle Clarence" in the photo albums where they belong and do what's right for our COUNTRY for once, in November.
