Amen. I know I don't talk much about politics.

But in spite of the fact that I don't much care for politics, I am reading/listening/watching. And I will admit the state that I believe we are coming to, frightens me. For just the reason YOU 'pictured' The youth. What in the world are they going to have to live with?

I almost don't see a way "out" of the situation we are in, without a pretty volatile revolt. I believe that things are going to get real nasty, before it gets better. And I do believe it will get better, because "Good will win over" I just believe it, but I don't know that WE will see it.

And now with that said, I do believe there is a way for it to get better without violence and mayhem. If the PUBLIC INSISTED, and made their voices count. And if the current lawmakers either stepped down, or were forced to. We do need new blood. But that won't happen.

I've been reading/watching the disguating saga of John McGee. It sickens me! He should not still be in his position, smiling and lying. Why in the heck is he still in position? If an example EVER should have been made, it should have been made on him. But instead, now we can point to him as an example for our youth? And say "look what you can become if you drink and drive"? I've also checked and found that the apparently he never got a DUI before, he's quite fond of speeding and has several tickets to prove it. SEVERAL ... Kind of just shows a disregard for whatever law he doesn't feel like following. I'm being a bit judgemental here, cuz i have a heavy foot too, from time to time.

    Anyway. yep, I'm disgusted!

  • This is like having mold in your walls, you can't see it or smell it, but it is making you very sick.

We all know how to get rid of it, but no one agrees on how we should start.

And then there are those who state emphatically, (politicians) that they can get it removed by the first quarter that they are in office.

I say, our favorite lunch meat! (You know which one Zook)

  • "D's" and "R's" aka despicable and repulsive as long as there is a "I" in the mix!

The eyes of young folks across America are watching and searching for the same things us OLD FOLKS are.

It is a silent revolt of sorts.

IF WE WILL JUST Talk to the next young person we encounter, we might SEE.....

  • The "I" I was referring to was Incumbent.

Thats your problem Roy you think everyone can read your mind what you are saying.

"I" normally with the parties refers to Independent, not Incumbent.

  • Sorry about that, I'll try to state things in a clearer manner.

  • Everyone has seen the email floating around about a proposed 28th Amendment and it makes accusations that are half truths. How about this instead?

How about this for a 28th Amendment

Representatives serve no more than three terms 6yrs total

Senators serve no more than two terms 8yr total

    No retirement at all

    No financial gain from legislation

    Balanced Budget every year

Pass the fair tax legislation to get the lobbyists out of the pockets of congressman by closing ALL loopholes in the tax la code. Make serving as a representative of the people an HONOR not a CAREER.
