Nobody ever "hit it on the nose" better than Ross Perot, when he told us "if you wanna know what's wrong with America, just take a look in the mirror." Not everyone understood what he meant by that, but I did.

If you work (or HAVE worked) hard for your money over all these years, trying to raise a family and build something for yourselves, it's probably a pretty safe bet that you didn't just GIVE money away to every Tom, Dick & Harry who come to your front door, or stopped you at a street corner.

You were careful with your money, because that was all YOU had to operate with.

The government doesn't play by those rules. As long as it isn't coming out of THEIR pockets....no sweat, baby, we'll just try to "buy" all the friends and influences we THINK we are buying, and "lavish the dessert plates" of the illegals, so THEY will vote for us too, as soon as we can figure out how to make THAT happen as well.

Obama was on the tube the other day, telling everyone about roads and bridges in America that were crumbling apart and how we need "more revenue" to fix things like that.

Isn't it peculiar that neither HE nor anyone ELSE back there ever mentions the REBUILD money, food and supplies we send to other nations for THEIR "infrastructure. Ever notice that?.......no, they just tell us about how much trouble "WE'RE" in..........in an attempt to convince us that we've just GOTTA have more "revenue" (and that's a little nicer word than "TAX", isn't it?)

We've spent billions of dollars and thousands of lives ridding Iraq of a dictator, and to this day, have never gotten a drop of oil out of it. What did YOU pay yesterday at the pump?

We're subsidizing ILLEGALS so THEIR kids can go to college. whereas YOU as a LEGAL AMERICAN, might have to take out a 2nd mortgage on your home to send one of YOURS.

Every time an American fighter aircraft takes off on a sortie out of a foreign base, is one LESS sortie that the British don't have to fly for THEIR security, or the Spanish, or the Italians, or the Koreans.....or lots of other overseas bases.

The monetary aid we send to Afghanistan.......some of THAT is filtered to the Taliban for "protection money" Karzide is as crooked as a Washington lobbyist.

But we don't cut HIM off............and we don't cut the OTHER 151 foreign countries that have their "eternal" hands outstretched for U.S. Taxpayer money THEY aren't entitled to.

Everywhere in the world where there's been a disaster, our C-130's are AIRLIFTING whatever they need. We don't DO that HERE.........we just levy the taxpayers some more.

But who are the "REAL CULPRITS?"...........like Mr Perot said, go look in the mirror.

These thieves who have made CAREERS of playing "Monopoly" with OUR money.........have NOT set up permanent residence in D.C. on their OWN..........they have relied on YOU out there, to "keep them set up in their townhouse suites and keep them in champagne."

And they're gonna keep right on doing what they're ALWAYS done, just as long as YOU keep doing what YOU'VE always done----------------

....."hmmmmm.......let's see now........D-D-D-D-D-D-D........or R-R-R-R-R-R-R..........yeah baby. keep right on voting for the folks whose names you've KNOWN for 40 years..........happy with how things are today? Good. Wonderful, God bless ya!

Are you a caring person? Does your heart just ache and bleed every time you see one of those tearful commercials about those poor kids in Tibet, Mongolia, Transylvainia or 25 other places. Fine. Write a check from YOUR checkbook for whatever cause you want to support. Most of THAT money goes to fund their admin costs).

If I want to donate to the NRA, I'll write a check from MINE. I do NOT "expect" the government to take from the rest of YOU out there for it. It's MY cause, not yours, and YOU shouldn't have to help pay for it.

IT is NOT for the GOVERNMENT to spend our tax dollars on anything else but OUR needs in this country., and it's right there in Article I, Section VIII,

105 million to Somalia.............."OK ZOOK.......you've already ranted about that on past blogs..............yes. I have. Now I'm gonna tell ya why it's so important...........

It's not just the MONEY..........to you & me, 105 million dollars would be a once in a lifetime lottery win..........to the BUREAUCRATS back there, it's as casual as a cup of coffee......(after all, it ain't THEIR money).

That 105 million is a CLEAR PICTURE to the THOUGHT PROCESS back there. Don't you remember that "debt ceiling fiasco?"......wasn't all that long ago.......My God, the world was coming to an END.......grandma was going have her medicine taken away, our kids were gonna have to eat worms and die, the nation was about to collapse, all the Social Security and pension checks were gonna stop, everything was gonna come to a screeching halt (except the food stamps, free medical & education for illegals)--------REMEMBER THAT?

John Boenner and all of those dirty Tea party Terrorists were holding the UNITED STATES of AMERICA------HOSTAGE!!!!!!"

OK......he gets his ceiling raised, with LITTLE in return "cuts-wise"........and with all of the PERILS and EMERGENCY CRISISES we were all facing............105 MILLION dollars......right out the door....to a country that harbors PIRATES!

Think we might have "repaired a few AMERICAN bridges" with that?

I asked Donna, as I shut the tv off, "Why do we keep paying taxes?"

"Because they'll come AFTER us if we don't."

..................so, sitting down with a cup of coffee, I ask myself on a daily basis.........."GEE------I wonder how the early SETTLERS have have handled this?

We certainly can't count on the VOTERS to do it. They've allowed THEMSELVES to become too NUMB, too complacent, and too "institutionalized" as this system has slowly but surely rocked them to sleep before taking "rattle" and the baby bottle out of the crib.

And you know the "brainwashing" is COMPLETE------------------

when AMERICAN citizens, who would have been called PATRIOTS 235 years ago...........are labeled as Trouble-Makers, Hostage-Takers, and TERRORISTS today!.........it's COMPLETE. The "left" doesn't even know who its real enemies are. They just speak as they've been trained.

Those of you who "cling" to these "pick-pockets in 3-piece suits"........do me a favor.......do your CHILDREN a favor..........do your GRAND CHILDREN a favor........next year when November comes around, go take a vacation........c'mon, you know you owe yourself one....take the grandkids to Yellowstone (you won't be able to afford Disneyland by then)..........go fishing, take in a movie, read a book.............

Just do this COUNTRY a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THE POLLS.

This USED to be America, and without your help, it CAN be again. This is NOT the World Welfare Office.

Okay, so all the politicians are crooks trying to line thier own pockets with our hard earned cash or giving it away to some terroist country or paying to send some less than desirable kids of a country south of our border whom probably swam across a river in Tex-mexico,how do you prepose that we find one thats a little bit less of a thief than the next one?

Well Mike, your right about a lot things you have said here. The only problem I have, and I've said it before and I'll say it again, a massive campaign of "Vote for Non Of The Above" as a write in would be a stronger message to all those running for office, newbies and incumbents alike, that we are fed up. A vote for a newbie just because they are a newbie could be a very dangerous thing. Now if the newbie has campaigned on a platform you agree with, then by all means vote for that person, but if non of the people on the ballot measure up, a vote for "None Of The Above" makes a stronger statement than your suggestion of voting for yourself. Which has a greater impact when the votes are tallied? 1 vote for Mike Bradbury, or 10 thousand "Non Of The Above"?

And as to your last comment, not only do we deserve what we will get, but we deserve everything we have gotten so far because of blind voting. The day of the lesser of 2 evils has to stop. Evil is evil, period.

Now I'm going to say something that will upset not only you, but others here,"but did you expect less?"

If you can put parties, politics, and name calling aside, there is in fact, a massive protest, both at the ballot box, and in public against the status quo. We might not all agree on certain agendas, but the bottom line is that people around the country are fed up! I'm not saying I agreeing with everything they are saying, I'm not even sure I agree with part of what their saying, but the fact is they are taking action and making a commitment for what they believe in. That in fact IS the American way. The ballot box is a long way off, but right or wrong, believe me, their actions and anger today will be remembered by everyone.

And with that having been said, I'll close this comment knowing that it will be picked apart and accusations will be made. So be it. I am Roy.

A couple years ago,I was at a well known truck dealership in Caldwell for a equipment show, when a well known stete Rep, who we all know was picked up for a drunken theft, was makeing campaign promses to which I asked if he would be willing to sign a contract to the effect that he would do everthing that he was promising. Needless to say I never got an answer, we just moved on to the next question.

Try going back and reading everything I said and you might want to reconsider some of the things you said to me. If the rights guaranteed under the Constitution to free assembly and free speech bother you so much, why don't you start a movement to remove those rights, but make sure you remove them for everyone, not just the ones you disagree with.

Homer, now you are the one assuming. I never even implied that I didn't know what the protest are about. You have a bad habit of only looking at the extreme end of things and painting the whole group with a wide roller as opposed to a narrow trim brush.

I also see no answer to my suggestion as to removing 2 rights from the Constitution. Could it be because it would show your real feelings? Rights are only for those you agree with?

Civil rights came about because of people protesting in the streets.

Nam ended only because of people protesting in the the streets.

Both movements had their fringe that tried to detract from the central theme, just as this movement has it's fringe. Just like back then, today people who disagree with the core statement, try to define the whole by a few.

In some ways you are no better than Bull Conner.

For some reason I knew I would find something like this.

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain admitted Sunday that "some people" would pay more in taxes every year under his "9-9-9" tax reform plan.

"That's right. Some people will pay more," Cain told David Gregory of NBC's Meet the Press. "But most people will pay less, that's my argument."

Cain's plan throws out the current tax system by establishing a 9 percent corporate tax, a 9 percent income tax and a new 9 percent national sales tax. During a lengthy discussion with Gregory, Cain defended his plan from critics who say the plan will make lower income earners pay more.

Asked by Gregory who will pay more, Cain said, "The people who spend more money on new goods. The sales tax only applies to people who buy new goods, not used goods. That's a big difference that doesn't come out."

Hope nobody likes to buy new things. Of course no new things means no consumption which means no JOBS!

To all, ask your TV, radio and printed news sources why they rarely, if ever, say anything about the Libertarian Party, but when the Green Party or any other left-wing group does anything, they get as much coverage as the Democrats and Republicans.

The LP is bigger than all the other "3rd" parties put together. Why the silence?

Couldn't be because the main goal of the LP is to rip away almost all the extra-constitutional power the federal government has voted itself the past 111 years.

IMHO, about 90% of the laws passed since 1900 should be done away with because they exceed the precisely limited powers granted Congress by the Constitution.

These blogs would be better if he didn't post on here !! He told Roy and also told me that he would never leave a comment again on our blogs, which is fine for me. My blogs go smoothly now that he don't leave his attacks on my blog any more. What bothers me thought he will attack Roy and me on Zooks blogs. Is zook his security blanket??

I'm about done with the blogs, will have my blog down by the end of the year ....... And then I will be done with my comments on here. Time for me to move on and find something positive in life instead of coming on here and getting nothing but negativity...... And its usually the same thing over and over again. .

I think we all got it you and Homer and cjw don't like Obama or Democrats, I have been hearing this way to long....Everyone that knows me knows I have a lot of patience more then anyone. But my patience's is running thin.

Well Zook if you find the constitution just fine then why are you for Cain? He is for going against it...... It must be hard for you to be a friend with Lamont who by the way served our country and has lots of memories of what it was like to be in the military for 30 years and then on the other side you have Homer and the 2 don't get along with each other, but then I guess you and cjw are the only ones that can get along with him.....

Homer, I suggest you go back and really read some of the things you have said to me. I say I support the Bill Of Rights, and you say I support the protesters and all of their causes. Try reading exactly what I said 10/15 8:30 AM, then read your response and your accusations. This isn't the first time you have acted like this. It does get old and I haven't been in the best of moods. HewBet will receive what ever punishment Brenda deems appropriate.

I suspect you are still very peeved with me for nailing you down on a certain issue on a different blog, and you revealed to the whole world what exactly you thought should be done to 1.6 billion people, and when called on it you back pedaled, but the damage was done. For you and a few others there is no such thing as a polite exchange of ideas. All there is is hate and name calling and accusations.

You dragged me into this whole thing with HewBet, I didn't ask to get invited.

You Homer opened this whole can of worms with your NAMBLA remark. You left yourself open for all kinds of comments.

Zook first Good Morning....

Now about Cain he has said he wouldn't have a Muslim in his cabinet, I understand the reason why, so we don't need to get into it, but isn't that being prejudice? He also said he was for not building of a Mosque down in Tennessee.....What about freedom of religion?

I think Huntsman will go up the ladder a little bit but he won't make it either....

Also I can understand you not wanting to get in the middle of 2 people arguing who are both your friends. But me being a Mom to 4 boys when they would get into a argument and it was getting heated I would put a stop to it because I believe brothers shouldn't fight... So when the name calling begins on your blogs can you not say something to put an end to it? I know Roy has tried to keep his blogs peaceful..

I like a good argument just like everyone else I just don't like the name calling or insults..It seems that once it starts it snowballs..... And even though I try not to say anything to insulting I find myself following the trail ....And I don't like myself when I fall into that trap......

I understand that some people in our Country group all Muslim people as terrorists......

when we are attacked it puts fear in people and I am sure the same thing happened when pearl harbor was bombed, with that said, do we need to change our laws to read "freedom of Religion except for Muslims"

If Cain wants that spot in the white house he needs to tame it down what he says or he will start sliding down the ladder.

You do know tomorrow night he will be attacked by Perry and the rest of the gang......Should be interesting and I'm excited I will get to watch tomorrow night. It will be on CNN don't know about the other channels

MtnHomer: I do enjoy reading your posts as so many are filled with facts, and I like that, and it's hard for some to deal with it. I'm busy all the time with a job, doing volunteer work, and I don't have time to research as much as I should. So thanks for taking the time to do it.

Facts skeeter? Half the "facts" posted on these blogs are either wrong or purposely misleading. When they are revealed to be false, then that information is either ignored or the person that had the "audacity" to disagree with these "Real Americans" is labeled as some kind of communist, liberal, or socialist.

Changing subject...You said you were going to write another gun blog......I got something that should be mentioned if your going to go into the law of owning guns... I don't like guns and will never shoot one but I was thinking the other day after hearing about the accidental shooting of a little boy up in Northern Idaho.........got me thinking.......Shouldn't there have to be a refresher safety coarse for those who buy and own guns...... If there isn't a law now couldn't that be done?

Smoking: they have warnings in place on cigarette packages and on Television, Radio and your Doctor will always ask if your a smoker and if you are you get the speech

Driving: there's signs on the road....... and if you don't renew your license in time you got to take the test again and some states now are requiring seniors to take a test again.

Accidental drowning: No weapon used......If they weren't wearing a life jacket when out in a boat I believe that's a law they didn't follow and they drown..

Alcohol poisoning: again there are warnings

Are there warnings when you put a gun in your hands?

There's a hunter safety coarse for kids why can't there be a refresher coarse after X number of years?

Of coarse I don't think it could be done because there are to many people that own guns and they move around.

The big difference is that GUNS are protected by the 2nd Amendment just like Freedom of Speech is protected by the 1st Amendment.

Driving, smoking, drinking, swimming and other activities and items are not freedom's protected by the Constitution.

I agree safe should be taught to kids at an early age and it should be taught by the parents and gun owners first. Hunters safety and firearms safety should also be encouraged. But ultimatly a person should be held accountable for their actions and not wrapped in bubble wrap by the goverment or neighbors in order to protect them.\

Accidents happen and education is the key, not mandates and laws.

I understand that when you buy a gun they do a background check first... I don't like guns but it doesn't mean we have no guns..... HA ! My husband has guns and his daughter has guns and our step daughter has guns since she is a police officer in town....

But I'm talking say 20 years down the road, it wouldn't hurt to take a safety refresher coarse... It would be nice to have in place but I don't see how it could be done...

The Ha ! was for me saying I don't like guns but it doesn't mean we don't have guns. Meaning my husband likes guns that's why we have them...

If we were having this conversation in person the chuckle would of come out clearer....

So True and I have known some of the bloggers for more then 20 years. Heck Eagle Eye have known each other for a little over 30 years.....

I have known lamont for at least 25 years.

The same way you feel about guns is the same way a lot of us feel about public education .By the rights attack on public education it is seen as a way of CONTROL (your term).SIMPLY PUT,IF YOU CAN KEEP THE MASSES UNEDUCATED YOU CAN CONTROL THEM IF YOU CAN KEEP ANY GROUP UNDEREDUCATED YOU CAN SUBJUGATE THEM.Deny education and you enchance control through dependency and a host of other things.This was the rule in the south and it is being attempted now on a larger scale.The difference is that groups that are being targeted.Now I dont know if you can make the connection but again think of the your own words control and then look at it.
