Our Dog is a Liberal

Our dog, Scout, just turned 5 this past April 1st (he was born on April Fool's Day of 2006, and somebody sure got fooled on THIS one!).  He's an English Springer Spaniel, although sometimes I think he doesn't "understand" English very well.

But the other day while I was drinking a cup of coffee, and he was curled up taking a nap, it DAWNED on me.

Scout is a LIBERAL!  He expects us to feed him, provide housing and any medical he might need from time to time.  He doesn't think he should have to do anything for it.  He thinks we should just cater to his every desire, every time he whines for something.

He doesn't think he should have to learn our language to get the benefits.

When Donna is making supper, and the aroma drifts into the living room where he's taking a nap, he' jumps up and heads for the kitchen, where no matter what is going on in there, he thinks all the "wealth should be spread" to HIM!

Although he's fed well and his every need is met, he will occasionally "steal from the taxpayers" who live here, and will make off with anything from a sock to a piece of somebody's sandwich if left unguarded on a plate.

When our grand daughters are here, he will go BEHIND us and use the girls as "lobbyists" to get them to sneak him a few extra treats "under the table."

Well...........as time went on, I decided to see if I could show him the error of his ways.  I'd heard there was a special jail in Idaho City for wayward liberals, so I took him up there so he could see for himself what happens and maybe even talk to one of the lib inmates, who is STILL whining even today.

"Well Scout old buddy, I never inhaled, nor did I ever have sex with that woman, but they STILL don't believe me!"

Anyhow--------------------------if you see Scout's name on the ballot next November, it's ok to VOTE for him.........He'd probably be a better choice than most of the "bozo's" who WILL be on it!
