....might be a catchy little title to a soap opera, like the one on the GOP debate on CNN last night.

Rick Perry, who initially looked pretty good a few months ago with his job creation numbers, is finding out that you have to account for EVERYTHING you've done, and he got hammered pretty good last night for his Executive Orders to have all of those 12-year old schoolgirls "innoculated" under and "opt-out" program, rather than an "opt-IN".......smells a bit "HITLER-ish" to me.....

Even the "drag-queens in the service supporter" Ron Paul, got after him for it.

Another point was raised about his tuition support of ILLEGALS, and his lame exceuse was that it only applied to the ones who were already here for a couple of years and were going to try to become citizens.......Nobody in the audience bought that, and neither did I. Santorum showed HIS "pro-immigration" hand too last night. I don't think he's gonna be around too much longer either.

I thought Bachmann was BRILLIANT last night, and Cain of course---steady as a piston, plain speaking and right up front. Romney-------ever the politician.......business as usual and not overly convincing of anything (to ME anyway). Huntsman?......wouldn't surprise me if he and Santorum roomed together at some college.

Gingrich showed his experience and answered with a lot of savvy last night, although I don't think he's the one to do the job in the White House. TOO MUCH "experience" is WORSE than no experience at all sometimes............(we've got a lot of 30 & 40-year representatives in D.C. already.................everybody happy with the job they're doing?)

I'm still supporting Herman Cain, because HIS experience is what we need more than ANYTHING right now in this country. HIS financial success never came through taxpayer dollars or government "bailouts." The man "stiulated" his OWN path.

I would TRUST Cain with the economy before I'd trust anybody else on that stage, or anybody else on the OTHER side (which is a GIVEN, since we've already had a pretty good looks at THEIR monetary skills over the past 3 years).

Michelle Bachmann speaks for for the tea party movement and is a devout follower of not only the Constitutuion....but the common sense world of what's RIGHT and what's WRONG.

Were it up to me (which, thank God for the liberals it ISN'T), our 2012 GOP ticket would be Cain for President and Bachmann for V.P.).

It would not only be a strong ticket for America, but the "amestream media" would be totally frustrated at the same time:

They couldn't dig up any "congressional dirt" against Cain, who is a NON-politician............and they DEFINIELY couldn't play any "race cards" against Cain, who is blacker than Obama in EVERY respect....

So they'd HAVE to dive into their "anti-conservative-women playbook, (which has gone into its 3rd or 4th printing by now). Maybe if they dug deep enough, they might find that one of the Bachmanns' foster children was caught cheating on a spelling test or something......and they might even have that same pervert rent a house right behind HER this time.

I think a Cain-Bachmann ticket would be a "Nightmare on Elm Street" for this administration, and the smartest thing we've done for our country in 32 years.

But "Flash-in-the-pan" Rick Perry is no better than what we have now, and I hope every Republican who watched that debate last night CAUGHT that little RINO worm "squirming" last night!

We still have freedom of Religion........They interviewed some of these people on 60 minutes including women and they said that they don't believe in or practice Sharia Law....Not all Muslims follow Sharia Law and they happen to be a group of them that are peaceful law abiding American Citizens... That have been here for over 20 years and in that town not one has been arrested for a crime.

Fear mongers tried to stop them from building and Cain said "I have your Back"

I don't think that I could convince you of anything, but Sharia Law is part of their religion whether they practice it or not.

Herman Cain was very clear that this was what he was against.

I could cite some examples of a few other people who are not giving an inch on the freedom of religion, but it would only get your dander up a little more.

60 Minutes is not the only TV show out there with what they consider the facts. Rattlesnakes are peaceful and law abiding too, if you don't bother them or cross their paths.

Would you be as indignant if it was a Christian Church that was not going to be built?

In fact when the twin towers came down there were muslims there helping at ground zero. I would not say they were the evil terrorists that hijacked our planes and flew them into the towers.

That's ok if you like Herman Cain, we can't always like the same people lol ! I kind of like Ron Paul, and John Huntsman just not completely sure about their views. And as being people I like all the Candidates, just not all the views they have.

The people in Murfreesboro follow the sharia Law however When on 60 minutes they explained that korans can be wrote differently, they are not all alike. And those that live in that city don't stone women to death nor is it written in their koran. You cannot judge all Muslims because of the extremist's and terrorists.

Cain is wrong joining in to stop them from building their Mosque..

Cain will not get in because he will never get high enough in the polls unless he believes ALL Americans have the right to build a church and the Right to practice their Religion here on American Soil.

Can anyone that watched the debate last night remember the question asked to Bachmann where she sang and sang and danced but never answered the question and then they went into a break? I'm trying to remember it but some how I can't remember the question

The Stimulus was only supposed to be temporary, a "jumpstart" if you will: Though the benefits of the law have begun to dissipate 2 1/2 years later, the agency clearly says things would have been worse without it. Since the spending was temporary, the law's biggest impact was felt in 2010. At various points last year, the CBO estimated economic growth was boosted by 1.8% to 4.6%, employment boosted by 1.4 million to 3.6 milllion jobs, and unemployment lessened by 0.8 to 2 percentage points.

Yes i did see the link in Drudge about the debt about to skyrocket. I personally don't put much stock in such partisan websites, either left or right.

I'm no economist, so i'll leave the "expert" opinions to those that get paid to do it. I just wanted to get your take on the report, thanks again.

By the way, it was the Romans who fed the Christians to the Lions. Men have been barbaric for centuries, do we need to keep a score? If so, I am afraid that the Non-Christians would lose.

Perry said it was a mistake he made about that vaccination and he was still hammered on. I felt sorry for him. Bachmann should of just let it go.

The Fair Tax answer from Romney was incorrect also. The Fair Tax has 20 million dollars of independent research behind it. www.fairtax.org to read the information about it. HR25 and SR13 are the pieces of fair tax legislation that are on the table. BTW to those that aren't happy about the mosque issue. If there is a candidate that meets all your requirements then you better watch out because they are lying to you. So in this business of picking candidates you need to look for the one that best meets your standards. In this case 90% may be a win for you. As for those that say he can't be elected because of what ever reason may be right but that will only happen because it will be a self fulfilling prophecy. I think he has as much of chance if not more and 175K plus facebook friends think that also. Most people don't know him and Bazookaman may have not know about him till I mentioned him at the spaghetti feed for the debate team. I can't take credit but I like to think that I planted a seed LOL. The key to him winning and MSM is trying to defeat that by keeping him on the sidelines at the debates is for him to get name recognition. Once people hear what he has to say and see it come from his mouth and notice his love of this country and what he stands for a great percentage love him. So if you like him plant the seed per say every opportunity and get his name out there. As a disclaimer these are just my opinions. I like to say opinions are like armpits some smell good but most stink! LOL

Thank you for your input MtnHomer. The CBO report is the most current, the date of it was 31 Aug 11. As far as Solyndra is concerned, it was a failed investment. As you pointed out, it is only one company of the 42 projects in the Energy Department's $30 billion portfolio of clean energy loan guarantees. The other two bankruptcies you mentioned were companies that received no loan guarantees.

The bigger question to me is why are some reveling so much in it's failure? They point at this company and see a failure on the part of the government, istead of what it is...another failure on the part of America to break the stranglehold that mideast oil, large oil companies and cheap foreign labor/products have on us.

This is an American company that tried to compete with Chinese government subsidized companies on an emerging technology and failed. Not because of mismanagement, fraud, or any wrongdoing. But because we as a country can't see beyond our noses and explore alternative energy methods.

Not long ago Americans scoffed at electric/hybrid cars, until the Japanese proved that the technology was viable and all of a sudden the big automakers jumped on board. At what point are we going to start investing in, and LEADING the world in these new technologies instead of just jumping on the bandwagon?

This is not some "save the planet", "tree-hugger" issue. It's one of our longterm economic survival. We can either invest in these new technologies, or continue with our self destructive dependance on foreign oil and oil companies. When we do finally wake up and start to utilize these technologies we'll find that the rest of the world is so far ahead of us that we'll have no choice but to purchase the materials and technologies from them. Then we'll be right back in the same boat as we are now with foreign oil.

Now, specifically about the Solyndra deal. Below you'll find a couple of links concerning the history of the deal. Take from it what you will, I'm neither endorsing nor condemning what happened. It was an investment that didn't pan out, hopefully the other 41 will.

Apology accepted. Please note a historical fact that has been proven many times. NONE of Joseph Smith's family practiced polygamy. He had 4 sons who stayed in Missouri and joined the Regorganization when his Son Joseph Smith III took over the church when he became an adult in 1860.

Thus, I belong to the RLDS Church. The LDS who moved to Utah did so after Joseph's death and by the leadership of Brighman Young.

I have a heritiage on both sides and I am amazed and awed by my ancestor's great courage and strength.

KH Gal, Many thanks for the history lesson I just got by searching for RLDS. As you know I'm an advocate for some of the teachings of the LDS when it comes to aid and assistance. I would imagine the RLDS teaches many of the same concepts. Wiping and polishing pews taught me a great deal of self respect. No task is insignificant when it comes to building self respect.

Wind power and solar power are both a government sham. Neither are cost effective and a waste of our money. If the public wanted them we would have them without those in DC taking our money and spending it where they can give money to their friends. Congress has a 12 percent favorable aprroval rate and they are wasting our money. Stop spending and lower taxes. Get out of the way DC and things will get better.

Like I said McGinnis is out to make money just like Palin. They do what they have to do to rake the money in. I'm not sure who you are referring to about the nasty name calling. I don't watch much tv except for cnn in the morning for about an hour, then I switch to the court channel to watch a little bit of a trial.. (btw Conrad Murray's trial is coming up fast) Evening I watch the local news and then I might watch something on Lifetime or pop in a movie.... I read books mostly......

And about those names, its not that no one has ever been called those names before. Right here in good old Mtn Home I have heard people refer to some as those same names. At my age not much shocks me anymore. Who's is calling Palin those names?

How can the Democrats fear Palin when they think she is a joke. Seriously I don't think Obama fears running against any of the candidates. As the days go by new dirt keeps piling up on them.

Bachmann claiming a child developed Mental Retardation after taking that cancer vaccination and theres no proof any where in the medical profession that it happened.

Now what is this about Perry authorizing the execution of an innocent man. Only caught a small detail of this so don't know if he has already been killed or going to be killed....

I remember years ago when Bush was Gov of Texas he gave the order to kill Karla Faye Tucker even after many people pleaded to spare her life but he wouldn't.

Yes homer I will share the book if I buy it. Lately I've been buying books to put on my kindle so that would be hard to share. If the price is ok for my pocket book I would rather buy the real thing and not the digital copy...(could turn out to be a bestseller) I share all my books and I got a houseful of them.

I've been collecting books since I was 19 yrs old.

I like Sarah Palin and I don't care who knows it. She has the right to make a living the same as anyone else. Her daughter does too.

We see celebrities all of the time doing public service announcements about practicing safe sex and then starring in TV shows or movies where they sleep with absolute strangers. How is that different?

McGinnis purposely intruded on a familiy's privacy to "supposedly get the dirt".

Kitty Kelley has been accused of the same. And the name Stephen Frey comes to mind on making money on falsified stories.

If they want to sell a book, then let them, but, make sure that the media says it is an unathorized version of their brand of the truth.

I don't know how many people would feel if they had someone living next door to them for the express purpose of writing about their every move. Especially when there are young children involved. I would feel that way about anyone regardless if they are celebrities and public figures.

The last question is. If someone offered you a job that paid good money and would help your family financially, would you take it? Of course you would.

Would you be upset if a passing aquaintance that had never been in your home or really had any interaction with you personally, accepted money to "spill the goods on what kind of person you were like" Would you shrug this off? Probably not.

So here is my preachy addition to this commentary. I am amused at the mindet of people who are more afraid of a woman instead of some guy who is playing with our money as if it was his own to spend.

Like I said its all about making money, and you do what you have to do.

Some have no scruples and some do.

If I buy the book will I believe everything written in it, probably not. I have read a few books by Kitty Kelly the unauthorized ones and I take her books with a grain of salt. Does that mean because I buy a book I'm part of what ever is in the book? I think not! I'm curious just like everyone else, I can never get enough of reading.... I want to read so I can form my own opinion !

I have many many books, probably a book you would like to read. I even have the book of Mormon sitting on my nightstand. Am I a Mormon ........No but that doesn't stop me to learn about the Mormon faith.......

So what do you know about Joe McGinnis? Other than he is a crime writer?

I personally don't read the self-books by politicians or celebrities How can you dispute ghost-writing and/or editors and publishers who want to make something sensationalized?

I do keep a watch on how they behave bfore and during and after they do the book tour.

There only two authors that I have personally met and enjoyed as genuine. Patrick McManus and Susan Case.

Doris Day has a few skeletons in her closet too, but I personally wouldn't want to accuse her of not being the wholesome girl next door, She made me happy with her movies.

Joe McGinnis is a non fiction author. His first book was about Richard Nixon and he has worked for the inquirer however before that he worked as a reporter for a paper in Massachusetts.

HewBet, they are having premaritial sex too in real life, look at how many babies there are with couple who are not married. Also, in the pretend acting, do you see very many of them discussing disease or condom use, not really, so what kind of example is that?

Zook I didn't miss the point on Bachmann... I knew she hammered Perry on signing into law that all 12 year old girls had to have that vaccination unless the parents opt out on it instead of having an opt In.

She went on TV the next day saying that after the debate a lady came crying to her saying her child developed Mental Retardation because of that Vaccination. This statement is in question because the Medical association has to record of that ever happening and they want to know who this person is if its really an actual person or a fictious person.

Rand Paul is absolutely right. Maybe he should introduce a bill repealing the 1992 law that mandated the 1.6gpf toilets? He IS a U.S Senator, isn't it his JOB to try and fix the things that he sees wrong in the country?

He also makes a great point about choice. The bill that passed in 2007 calling for light bulbs to become gradually more efficient beginning in 2012 and ending in 2020, which passed in 2007 with bipartisan support went too far. They should of written it so that the old energy inefficient bulbs would still be available and explained to the American people that even though fluorescent light bulbs cost about five times more than incandescents, Americans would save a total of $12 billion a year by 2020, about $85 per year for every household, if the new standards are left in place due to lower electricity bills. Then let us make the decision on what we want to use.

That video of Michelle Obama is a bit disturbing. I can't make out what she said and i'm not gonna speculate on it, but that disdainful look on her face when she said it makes me believe that it wasn't something nice.
