So what's with all the boo hooing about being called a terrorist?

I don't believe anyone called YOU a terrorist. If I'm not mistaken, no one who represents Idaho was called a terrorist.

So what's with all the boo hooing about being called a terrorist?

None one of these guys were called terrorists.

Are you weeping for someone who doesn't even represent you?!

Are you weeping for someone who you most likely would like to see voted out in 2012 with the rest of the "bums"?

For a guy who's got a name for nearly anyone who disagrees with him, you got a real thin skin.

The United States is still the leader of the free world.

People are destitute and need help. We help them.

    Freedom isn't free.

The people we'll be helping don't have water and food, yet you have a concern that sending help to these people will affect your lifestyle.

God sent Jesus here to help us. Man, did that affect his lifestyle. But he did it anyway, and it just killed him.

  • What are you saying CJW? I'm not sure what you mean, if you mean taxing corporations like Wal Mart or GE etc more you betcha. Their not exactly the little small business guy.

Yes we all will die, but some shouldn't have to die so soon because of having nothing to eat and starve to death...

  • You don't have to belong to an organized religion to earn your place in heaven. Just talking now about God we are holding a religious meeting.... It doesn't matter where you congregate. When I was younger and they would come a knockin, I opened my door and sat down and let them talk. I did learn a lot about the different faiths, but I never joined.

I am a reader and I still have the book of Mormon someone gave me a very long time ago. Sometimes I get it out to look up references. I have never been inside a Mormon church !

    Sometimes I sits and thinks.

If God had decided you'd be born somewhere other than America, (after all we had no choice in the matter) where do you think you'd have been born and where would you be right now?

-- Posted by DaveThompson on Mon, Aug 8, 2011, at 9:45 PM
  • I lived in Spain in a little village for 3 years and no one spoke English, and all my neighbors were Gypsys.... I had no TV, no Washer or Dryer no furnace, no car, no super market and if I had my choice I would of loved to have been born there and still live there. It was a very simple way of life with a lot of hard work...Except for when Franco was the dictator ! I lived there when he died

  • I see treason is alive and well along with mockery and the other insults that seem to spew forth when disageed with......we could converse without the snide remarks and it has been done but as soon as some get comfortable they start again.IF some rebutt that they get deleted and the perpetrator continues unabated which says your ok they are not.The ridicule that a person was just subjected too was uncalled for ,but was sanctioned by in action. So i guess that gives a license to do as we wish because we already know who will get chastised and who wont....so let the free for all begin.

-- Posted by lamont on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 8:07 AM
  • Let's start with you first homer, you bring out the worst in all of us. If you stop then the insults will stop. We all get along well without you and if we could vote, you would be voted off the island....

Your right we aren't fooled !

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 8:25 AM
  • Haha CJW Of coarse you would pick me first. I'm the only female that stands up to you on a regular basis..... Oh and homer I don't see any where in my previous comment that I said I was free of casting a stone. I admit I can insult you right back.... I can stand up to the boys !

Vote me off the island It would be fun....but you guys would miss me. It would get boring around here without me. I know deep down you really wouldn't want to vote me off... You all like me lol ! Even you do to homer, you just won't admit it.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 8:44 AM
  • Can I vote for 2?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 8:48 AM
  • Well maybe we can vote on how many votes lol !

If it's only 1 vote then I vote homer off the island. But if he got voted off, I would miss him. What would the blogs be without him? We each bring something to the blogs :

Just so you know, Homer...Roy wasn't keen on you calling him "weak-willed". Isn't it nice to be so smug and so sure that you're better than everyone else.

If I could vote someone off, I'd vote to send you to Somalia. Wouldn't that be awesome? :-)

-- Posted by HewBet on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 10:13 AM

You're going to have to STOP putting words in my mouth, Hewbet. And it best stop today.

At no time did I ever say roy was "weak willed"....never. This is just one example of how you attempt to take things out of context and throw them up on the screen to stir the pot, Hewbet, and it's childish at best.

Alcoholism is NOT a disease, is what I stated. Alcoholism is a CHOICE, just like drug addiction is a CHOICE. And if you CHOOSE not to help yourself when you have a problem, then it absolutely says something about your will. roy is getting help, Hewbet, therefore roy is NOT considered weak-willed by me or anyone else.

And since we're all voting here, I vote to remove Hewbet, once again, from these blogs. It's become obvious to most he has nothing insightful to add.....ever. Just monotonous, immature attacks daily.

-- Posted by MtnHomer on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 10:20 AM

You are spinning off on tangents here now, roy.

There's indeed help for alcoholics, many of them recover to lead fruitful and productive lives. It's not a death sentence, nor is it a "disease" as often stated by the left. It's the result of being weak willed, as is the case with several problems that plague mankind today.

-- Posted by MtnHomer on Mon, Aug 8, 2011, at 9:14 AM

    My My

I didn't delete that blog, just put it away until I decide what to do with it.

By the way I can't edit comments, just the original post.

-- Posted by royincaldwell on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 5:40 PM
  • Homer, what part of your statement that alcoholics are weak willed didn't you see? I am truly confused.

-- Posted by royincaldwell on Tue, Aug 9, 2011, at 5:53 PM
  • Homer

    Homer.

I never called it a disease, that was your word. Your right there is help for alcoholics who want sobriety. AA has worked for me. Other programs work for others. I would suggest, if you so choose, to read the book Alcohol Anonymous by Bill W. You may gain some insight into our lives. And for those who chose not to get help with their alcoholism, it IS a death sentence.

-- Posted by royincaldwell on Mon, Aug 8, 2011, at 9:21 AM

I will put it back up if and only if you will address the question I posed at the beginning of the blog. As you said, it was my blog.

Hey news flash why don't you guys back off and let Roy alone, this nonsense of keeping throwing in his face the problem he has had and how he is dealing with it is his right. Let him write his blogs and comment the way he wanted without people walking on him every chance they get. And for another thing Roy's past has nothing to do with the topic of this blog, if you want to keep attaching people write your own blog and give others a chance around here to write what they want to. Good Luck Roy your on the right road, keep up the good work.

  • ZOOK JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NOT HAVING A HISSY FIT EVERYDAY DOESNT MEAN WE ARE NOT CRITICAL OF THE LEFT.I for one see no need to say the same thing day after day.I have climbed in there butts also.

i dont climb on the right daily either for the same reason...when they need to be chastised no matter who i do....most people here do......but daily no, every time i post no, every subject no.WHY????? because everything either side does is not wrong, both have good and both have bad.the same talking points daily accomplish nothing.

i dont like it when anyone talks sedition or treason.I WILL NOT CONDONE THAT FROM ANYONE.THAT IS MY STAND....I AM AND EQUAL OPPERTUNITY PATRIOT.

  • Here's a read on raising the debt ceiling. It' a good read and there's no blaming in it, at least I didn't see any

Read # 8 It says the budget should of been worked out before the ceiling was raised

  • I was trying to find something that showed that working on spending cuts and raising the debt ceiling didn't have to be put together that they should of been done separately. If the link I gave wasn't good enough because you say its the person's opinion, well then what financial or economist person do you want me to look for that you believe is not biased in any way?

  • Bonnie's statement actually was true for me. And I don't mean to go off topic but that statement has meaning for me.

When living in Spain my house did catch on fire and everyone had open wells in the back of their houses, except our house. I would of had to climb over a wall to get to the canal. My husband was 10 miles away at work. I grabbed up a bucket and ran next door to get water. Everyone in that family helped out and then one by one other neighbors were bring buckets full of water from their back yards..
