Re-elect NO ONE

This is stupid. This is very, very stupid. And so are WE if we DON'T get rid of them ALL next year.

Both sides are selling our country out right now.....or trying to.

According to EVERYBODY in the media, we are going to lose our Triple-A rating ANYWAY, so there is no need to hurry this thing up now....especially WITHOUT THOUGHT!

PLUS!!-----they've KNOWN this was coming SIX MONTHS AGO-----why did they wait until the LAST MINUTE........

And still we RE-ELECT these "experienced ones", don't we!

If it passes, they're going to get their debt ceiling raise immediately, but the "cuts" will be strung out over TEN YEARS!

Now boys & girls......at the RATE this government wastes money, do you have any concept of what our national debt will be by the time TEN MORE YEARS ROLL BY???

The Dems do NOT want a balanced budget amendment. If YOU couldn't balance your own budget at HOME.......you wouldn't HAVE a home very long.

But the worst of this is where the left wants to CUT............they're willing to cut ONE trillion, (only a third of the ceiling raise)...............and do you know where they plan to cut HALF of it????

Out of Defense!..................HALF of it...........How does THAT make y'all feel about "National Security?" They've taken 400 BILLION out of defense ALREADY, while upping money for the "social programs."

Ya out there, Lamont? They aren't CONTENT taking from you & I ALREADY............now there gonna start cutting into what our ACTIVE TROOPS need.........

Oh sure.....EVERYBODY'S gonna have to sacrifice their share...............but HALF???.....Do you remember the 80's out there on the ramp when we started having to "K-Ball EVERYTHING because we were running out of spare parts?

The Dems have traditionally cut into defense everytime they've come into power, and Carter almost SCRAPPED the military, which Reagan had to rebuild when HE came into power. But HALF????

And still...........NOTHING from foreign aid, support for the illegals, or DOWNSIZING an overgrown GOVERNMENT! Are we CONCERNED at all, that taking HALF of this from defense, (with TWO WARS going on, the drug cartels at our back door, and terrorists all over the place wanting to KILL Americans)............this is REALLY SMART, isn't it?

Nothing to do with thse "redundancies" we talked about either.

Whether they pass this or not, REID needs to be impeached for HIS role in INTRODUCING this treasonous, INEPT crap.............and BOENNER should be impeached for going along with it.

And now there's a "12-person bi-partisan" committee being set up to confused everybody some more.

Now........if they were ANY kind of intelligent back there, (which they are NOT---and neither are WE, because we still keep PUTTIN' 'EM BACK INTO THEIR SAME JOBS)........they would use that 500 BILLION from the military, and CLOSE all of our overseas bases.

If I was the president, (and every liberal alive can drop to his knees and thank God that I am NOT),...and I had to cut that much into defense...........that's where I'D cut.

We have NEVER been constitutionally responsible for guarding EVERYBODY else, and those are the FIRST CUTS I would make military-wise.

And since we seem to want to do this "HALF" crap, I'd ELIMINATE HALF of WASHINGTON D.C.....there is UNLIMITED waste and redundancy back THERE!

Boenner needs to be tested for drugs.....he just told his House that "we got 98% of what we wanted"

The guy's doing crack or something. He's helping Reid sell us out right now.....and they probably WILL pass this debacle just to "settle things"..............which WON'T be!

This really stinks.

And you watch.............come November 2012...........watch what the citizens do............they're gonna walk right back in there and do what they've always done.-------"Sit Up!----Sit Up!----Here's your FISH!"

Watch it happen. And it'll just prove that we as a public, really ARE as stupid as Washington keeps hoping we are.

I haven't gone fishingi n years. Maybe it's time.

i have not read it yet i will get back to you.....I watched confirmation hearings on GEN DEMPSY....VERY ARTICULATE PERSON.HE WAS ASKED ABOUT CUTS...COMMENTED THEY WILL BE DONE BY ATTRITION......specifically with drawdown,and he's for Cutting forward installations(europe) so we shall see.He stated equipment had to be replaced and the navy needs to come back to 330 ships.Sited what we talked about,europe not spending on there own defense and us covering there butts,and the need for that to stop. We shall see.....Ill get back

The hammer is a bad example been used for 20yrs that is old.....The waste in the military is the redundancy in the supply system,mostly procurement.The no bid contracts given to co.like halliburton,blackwater and some others have ripped off millions right off the top.lets also remember that all cost of medical treatment comes out of the individual service budget.I dont think people get a clear picture of the cost of the military beyond the cost of weapons ,bombs and bullets.THE PERSONELL tail if i may For these 2 wars we are in is so great you probally would not realize it.The cost will be bore by the services for the next 40yrs at least.We take that part for granted and we shouldnt, it should be considered before we project military power.

I dont want to see our services cut to the point they are not functional and therfore ineffective but the blame for that will be squarely on the politicians.All of them,the military is not a football to be kicked around as they see fit. Cost over runs should be born by the contrator on whatever, especially if there is no change order.The lowest bid is not always the best bid,and the end user should have a say in wether it is the right product or not,not some beaurocrate who doesnt know a 20mm from a 50 cal.

THE managment review teams helped to keep that from happening and should be reinstated.Anyhow it can be fixed. WE ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MONEY WE GET BELIEVE ME.YOU NEED TO TALK TO THE CIVILIANS WHO OVERSEE MOST OF THIS, THEY SPEND LIKE WATER.I DONT KNOW AND E-8 E-9 WHO IS NOT AWARE OF COSTS NOT ONE WE LIVED WITH IT EVERYDAY.

Well zook, I just got home from work and have caught bits and pieces on the the news, and let me tell you in a lot of respects I'm hoppin mad. Just more of the same old from everyone involved. I agree, throw them ALL out. Start over. Avoid the extremest on both sides. Find people who understand how to balance a check book. Find people who understand you can't stop a runaway 15 Trillion train wreck on a dime. It requires careful thought and decision making, realizing that the choices made will affect more than just this generation. The choices will be hard, as they should be. And they should be made so everyone has some skin in the game. The time for bickering has to END!

We need REALISTIC solutions NOW. More later I need a shower and something to eat as I have to go back out tonight and foul up traffic in Boise. :)

..we provide millions in grants to build bridges that go nowhere.........airports named for senators that nobody uses, to study prostitution in China, tunnels for turtles, and hundreds of OTHER GARBAGE projects....

I heard on the news yesterday that the reason it took so long to agree on the debt problem we are facing is because they stopped the earmarks from happening to get a vote on a plan...

They said those days are over.........I wonder if they are really over??

SO LET SEE.......SS ....I PAID IN AND I AM STILL DOING THAT......THE VA is the most effecient health care system in the country......period

I assume YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES......what is your complaint there except for the staff not doing there jobs as well as they should,and that department takes in a lot of area. AS far as clueless generals maybe you ought to deal with the fact that they work for you.I once had a lady ask me" how many babys did you kill" I TOLD HER NOT ANYMORE THAN YOU TOLD ME TO.I DO TAKE EXCEPTION to the way you come at the military.......we work for you.....you need to go at your representative if you dont like the way it is ,or better still wear a uniform and do your part to change it.NO IT IS NOT PERFECT AND WE MAKE THE SACRIFICE WITH WHAT YOU GIVE US.

Lamont, I take a bit of issue over the VA dealing out the best health care for the Vets and I am not saying they don't do a good job. I have never been to a VA doctor but I had tri-care prime for a number of years now and I always got good care at the Base and all the refer's under that plan. Now on medicare and tri care for life and still can go to the Base and anyone that excepts Medicare and tri care for life. I have gotten a disability from the VA and still have a couple of appeals in.

For all those that think Medicare is so free and tri care prime, think again we pay for tri care and sure as heck pay for medicare which is alot more than tri care. We also pay taxes on our Retired military pay to the Fed's and the State. Also pay fed taxes on the Social Security, nothing like helping pay your own wages.

There is no doubt the government wastes money in the Defense Department but look who is passing out the Government Contracts, Its sure not the people in combat or the people working on the equipment. Don't even want to hear that the military puts out the spec's for what they want and why it costs so much, it all boils down to the people letting out the contracts in DC.

I didnt say best health care i said most effecient.i too pay all that you say so we are in the same boat.We at least at one time had a small say in what we needed.I WAS ASSIGNED TO TWO MANAGMENT REVIEWS......THEY WERE VERY ENLIGHTENING ....I dont know if they do them anymore.Wether they actually listened or not is to be debated...smile you know how that goes.

I have said all my career the generals like new toys.when THEY GET READY TO MAKE THESE BUYS THEY NEED TO CALL US THE USER AND HAVE US EVALUATE WETHER IT WORKS FOR US.in MY OPINION THAT WOULD STOP A LOT OF GARBAGE BUYING......maybe they dont want to share the graft.......smile.....I am not saying there isnt any waste I am saying it can be cut drastically....at 65 you get kicked out of the hospital.....go get you a doctor now!!!!!!!!!!

HOSPITAL FEE,ANESTESIOLOGY.ROOM FEE..TOTAL ,$5300.00.,next test $6,000.00..and on and on and on NO that is WRONG.Even patients are fleeing the country is that what we are about???IS THAT OK WITH YOU HOMMER?????????? ITS NOT OK WITH ME ,IT IS NOT WHAT I WORE THE UNIFORM FOR.I DONT LIKE YOU HOMMER BUT I WOULD NOT LIKE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN TO YOU NO MATTER WHAT.

Lamont, maybe our choice of words made some confusion. There are a number of us that did serve and do know what our entitements are. I am not to sure what you saying about medicare and being kicking out the hosiptal, I may have missed something there. I did check on what was avaib. to me once medicare kicked in and tri care for life and I still go to the Base, based on what I applied for and it got approved, have no idea how long it may last but got it for the time being.

Been to many of us been around the world and the biggest fight we have left over from Vietnam is all the Agent orange that caused so many problems and still is. If you haven't seen it we are now checking all the 55 gallon drums of Agent orange that got buried in Korea after Vietnam and that is a real mess. The civilian world doesn't even know what the military does on a daily routine, until you walk a mile in those boots and did what your were told to do don't come at me.

The last time this country declared war was WW2!

Lamont, yes I am retired military and am 65 on medicare and tri care for life but you a bit wrong on using the Base for appointments and other things. I am not going to post on here what the deal is but I had heard about and checked into and I am enrolled to keep going to the Base.

I have got alot of e-mail from a buddy that has been telling the story of Agent Orange buried in Korea which they are just now digging up from what I have seen it was briefly use during the Korea police action and what they are digging up now was left over from Vietnam and I have no clue how it got to Korea or why.

The blog is his and how he interprets the story to go is his own. His own expression. I would never try to guess or say the flow is not what it should be whether I was having trouble following or not. I enjoy reading the stories, I am not there to judge his belief. Some I agree and some I don't just like alot of stories and/or articles.
The cuss words are what they are and I liked some of George Carlin's stuff. If I don't like something or believe it to be untrue I don't read it in my personal life. One person's lie is another person's truth or vice versa. I have always thought whether I agree or not, like what they are selling or not, I can either enter the building or stay outside. My choice. I would not deny them the right to express or sell.
I should have remembered as you put it the "many terms to describe". With the grandkids it is slop on shingle which I was talking about. Guess I was in Grandma mode and did think it all the way thru. I will go back and delete my comment as I am not beyond the rules for myself. That is why I stay off here on a personal level. I would be in trouble all the time!! Personally I really don't care and can converse with the best of the sailors but our rules are simple. The lax side of the website has had to be pulled back for extreme nastiness. I am sorry if I offended.
