How can the USA say that "we're fighting them there so we won't have to fight them here", when our southern border is wide open?

I never said that I disagreed with Bush's "War on Terror" I'm a good American and like most Americans at the time, I felt there was a definite need to retaliate against the ones that caused the 911 tragedy and also those that were major supporters of terrorism.(like Syria and Saudi Arabia, a political no-no) Like you, we shouldn't have left Afghanistan until the job was done. I don't know about "nuking" them though because that would have opened up a whole new can of worms.

Secondly, I didn't say that what we have now is an improvement, just different. There have always been idiots in Congress, and there does seem that there is more corruption than there's ever been. I was just commenting on the hypocrisy of political parties in "proving" incompetence by using their owns screw-ups to give evidence of that. To me, it's hilarious.

You know bazookaman the United States was built on diversity....... There are Muslim's that live in our country that aren't terrorist in fact when 911 happened many ran to the trade center to help... There's already a community of Muslims in lower Manhattan, some own business's in that area, should we kick them out?

Ummmm!! Bush DID go after Afghanistan FIRST. The bombs began falling on Afghanistan on October 7, 2001.

The air attack on Baghdad didn't happen until March 19, 2003 followed by the ground invasion of Iraq

Point was Bush did go into Afghanistan FIRST (26 days after 911) so you were clearly wrong again. As far as.... why did we flood into Iraq? ......Nearly 2 1/2 years latter ..that really is an apple and orange argument. the only thing they really have in common is that they are both fruit.
