I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Easter Time!

Coloring Eggs is something every kid wants to do! Yep, it can be a mess, but the memories made will be forever cherished by these kids. This is, in my opinion, part of my job as a Grandma. To make these memories and start traditions for these children to carry on to their own children.

Then you make it colored, and of course, she wasn't happy til she made it two colors!

Then of course, they were out to play. They'll remember this year of coloring eggs and playing together for hours

They had great plans of spending the night on the Trampoline. So, we took out blankets and got them settled. I knew they wouldn't stay the entire night, but just to prove me wrong, they did!

So, Amazingly enough, though the kids were not at their own homes, the Clever Easter Bunny found them, and delivered baskets in the middle of the night to our house

Then we went to my sister's house in the afternoon for an Easter Egg hunt that the Easter Bunny cleverly arranged the night before. He is so Amazing!

There isn't really much that needs to be said here. It's true a picture speaks a thousand words. We try to do something every year like this, and though it's pretty much all the same, the kids love every minute of it. And we enjoy the family time.

There was an article Wayne and I saw the other day, somewhere (I forget where) that you could buy colored eggs to save time. And so many people jumped on that opportunity. What???!!!! Part of the experience for a child is being part of a learning process. Coloring and swirling, lighter colors and deeper colors. They did that! I'll hope that most people take the time to color eggs with their children.

Coloring eggs is a fun thing. The boys loved it. And... if you put vinegar in the coloring your colors are stronger, it also makes a fizzing reaction. (Our colored waters got more vinegar than needed, because it was so cool! )

Your traditions are strong, I will color eggs with the boys, probably until they tell me they're "too big" for it. :)

My own daughters and I still color eggs, and are still a little bummed when we run out. They are 16 and 19! It's just one of those small things you can have fun doing together, so why stop?
