Looks like a fun time. Cold, but fun.

It was fun. And I found I get colder, when I'm NOT horseback. Or with my own kids. I was all by my lonesome, just taking photos for the kids that did show up. But was still a great time!

    Funny how that works sometimes.

For many years, I fished for steelhead in below zero weather and never got cold enough to quit "cause the fish were there". And today, I'll turn up the furnace when it's snowing outside even though the thermometer next to my chair says its 68 degrees.

Typically, I can take quite a bit of cold. And I can ride for hours horseback in frigid weather, or very hot weather. But once i"m done, it's kind of like suddenly "It's not fun any more" and I"m cold! or hot, whatever the weather is.

Til I'm not distracted I'm OK.

Sometimes I come into a warm house, and suddenly, I"m very cold!

but I like my bedroom quite COLD at night. No heat in there at all.

I'd have done well, in those old sleeping porches

  • This is good Jessie. We always had fun doing those types of things in 4H. We didn't call them play days, but Gymkanas.

  • It's much colder on the fence than on horseback!
