As good a reason as any, I ‘spose

Posted Monday, May 7, 2012, at 8:21 AM

I've seen/heard lots of reasons to vote for Obama.  I don't agree with them.  Some seem so full of ...well ya know.  But if those can be reasons then here is one as good as any.

Regan and Obama

They say a picture says a million words.  And usually a picture doesn't lie.  If I had to pick a man who was going to "take care of me"  I know who I'd want it to be.  Or, in this case, who I don't want it to be.

Reagan vs_ Obama

ah heck, I got started, and found other photos I  love.

He was one of the first President's I paid attention to.  And I always loved watching the relationship between he and his wife.

He held up our flag, in so many ways.

Ronald Reagan with the flag

I have a Calendar of Reagan tucked away.  It is one of those things that is very special to me.  He was a man who wasn't always trying to look pretty, but do a good job.  It's my opinion, no need to try to change it.

There are so many analogies for this. I could wax on forever. But I might let the photo speak for me..... a million words.....

I watched parts of the Kentucky Derby on TV. I was appalled at how many people who may have stood but did not show any respect while the anthem was being sung.

Some of them were texting, drinking or laughing and talking.

What a terrible shame. Off-Subject I know. But a signifcant difference than when Ronald Regan was in charge.

Shoot a couple for me, Mike!

And I agree Bonnie. Lack of respect abounds

One more, maybe: Reagan, on an open microphone he knew was open, "mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" Maobama, on an open microphone he didn't realize was broadcasting, told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have "more flexibility" in missile defense negotiations after the 2012 elections. Integrity versus duplicity. Americanism versus "G-dd-mn America." Both swore an oath to protect and defend the nation and the constitution. One actually meant it. The other is running for re-election.

Good post. I especially like the comparison pictures of President Reagan on the horse and the Kowtower on the bike.

I had the pleasure of being in the presence of President Reagan when I was in the military. He spoke as a down to earth person, who wanted the best for all. The media hated him and did their best to destroy him. His mannerisms were so strong and clear the American people saw him in a light the press could not understand. I'm glad I was there and will always remember it.

I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.
