What’s not to love????????????Posted Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 1:29 PM
Life goes on, and I'm gonna miss the summer. Every now and then I go thru pictures and just love remembering what was going on the day I took the photos. These first photos are just a few days after we arrived in Cascade, and our horses were playing around. Naturally, I ran out to take the shots of what I consider great horses! Below are "Beamer" and "Sammy" kickin' up their heels Below is the horse that Al dubbed "Marshmallow" She's a favorite with everyone. Who doesn't love a golden Palomino with Flaxen mane and tail? Jean is named "Blue Jean". She is a Blue Roan, hence the name. She hasn't done a lot yet, but her time is coming.
Marshmallow likes to carry a snack with her, basically at all times. If you look, most of these have grass in her mouth We went for a drive one day, and this is some of what we saw. I have a fascination with big rocks! We saw lots of these during the summer. I see you! I took a walk and found this little guy stalking me hmmm.... not sure what to title this. Ok, I'm gonna be honest, I didn't actually know what the story was here. They didn't look like the same insect to me, so I thought they were fighting. or something.... til Wayne asked me, "Why did you take this picture of them....." hmm..... oh well.....
They call it "God's Country" I don't wonder why I got to ride in this place every day..... can you believe my luck? Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Really like the pictures. They seem better than ever, using new camera?
Skeeter, thanks! Well, some of the "gotta grab my camera before it's over" pictures, just don't have time to get things right, just wanna capture. Alot of these sceneries, I stop and take the time to make sure it's what I mean to get.
Same camera most of the time. I've been working on it, and been winning some competitions with my shots. However, I've seen some stuff while out in the fields without my camera, and only had my phone in my pocket. So I come to skidding halt on my horse, pull out my phone, and take a picture with that. One of those won an Idaho contest, but it was the beauty that caught my eye at the time that really won it. I just happened to see and recognize it! Thanks though, I do really appreciate that!
