I've lived in Mtn Home since 1989, so that's...hold on...I'm thinking...WOW! Exactly 25 years! Boy, I think I can almost declare myself an Idahoan. But my family is British and I grew up in Louisiana around lots of other Brits so I still think I'm a little bit of a mutt. Those of you who have been around awhile may remember when I used to blog all the time. My opinions weren't very accepted and there was always an issue because I work for the county. That really wasn't fair because I NEVER blog at work! And I am still entitled to my opinions and thoughts about city and county issues, right? However, it stirred a lot of pots and those pots certainly can make a lot of noise! Since I'm a writer, I took what I wrote in my blog seriously so I spent a lot of time researching things which got exhausting to do when you're not even get a paycheck for it. So I stopped. That was a blessing to many! However, to this day, I still have people stop me and ask me why I wasn't blogging and t! hey missed it. I've missed it. Mainly because there are so many issues that come up and I have no voice except around my friends and I'm sure they are tired of it.

Pakistan, the Lying Nation

We have given Pakistan billions of dollars over the past 7 years. Our country is suffering a huge deficit, massive unemployment and borrowing billions a day from China just to make ends meet while Pakistan enjoys our money??? How is this okay with us?

Pakistan has a long history of being deceiptive and harboring terrorists, yet we hand them money. We have put our troops in harms way to protect them. Our troops have trained their soldiers to fight and sold them weapons only to have that used against us. We have tiptoed around their lying and cheating while handing them money that our people have to pay for while all along for 6 years, they have hidden OBL (or UBL) right under the noses of everyone. What does our government do? Nothing! They give them credit for cooperating and the money train goes on and on. There is something seriously wrong with this picture. What the heck is so important about our relationship with this highly suspicious country? This has got to stop.

Did I mis-spell anythin? Name any1 wrongly? Please feel free to spill-ck my wurds and disreguard tha point cumpleetly. Hove a gr8 dy.

Pakistan is not the only one we are consistenly giving money to...there are many other nations we happily fund in return for????????????????

Bazooka: Nice reply. Exactly what I would have said.

It seems that the game is not what it used to be where all the countries just tried to keep their weapons equal with others in order to prevent themselves from having too little and risk being vulnerable to attack. Now it seems that if you can make the other countries think that you have far more capabilities to destroy, you're rewarded with gifts, a get out of jail free card, and large sums of money in order to make sure that they don't use those WMD's. Ignoring international laws and agreements doesn't get punished but instead that country is rewarded with billions of dollars and a free pass to behave in any manner. Afterall, being sensitive to their religion or culture is far more important than taking a hard stand against them. Disgusting policies of a weak nation.

Hewbet: I wanted to follow advise and not respond to you but then you had to go and make that last comment. It showed that you have the ability to make calm valid statements not meant to insult. I liked the person who made that comment. To the other Hewbet who spews insults and attacks me, I will simply say, Adieu.
