The reality of the healthcare reform-Baucus Bill is truly a slap in the face. I hate to say it but we are lost. CNSnews.com has confirmed that "the actual final text of the legislation will be determined by Reid himself, who will consolidate the legislation approved by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and the still-unapproved legislation from the Senate Finance Committee. Reid will be able to draft and insert textual language that was not expressly approved by either committee." Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will write the final version of Obamacare to be considered in the Senate with no input from the American people.

The San Francisco Examiner published an editorial that exposed the fact that the American people can't see the bill. "When then-Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama promised not to sign major legislation until it had been posted on the Internet for public reading at least five days, trusting voters took him at his word. Now they know better. Not only is the actual language of what is likely to become the main legislative vehicle for Obama's signature health care reform not available on the Internet, it hasn't been given to members of the key Senate committees or the Congressional Budget Office."

This kind of stuff is the stuff that ruins a nation. It has basically been said over and over by Pelosi that it doesn't matter what the majority of the people of this country want. They will pass a healthcare bill that she wants. We can all demand and scream foul but I'm afraid that it is all for nothing. (Time-7:05am)

Dave...............THIS......THIS is what I mean when I bring up the TRANSPARENCY issues, that your golden boy promised all through his lying campaign.

We didn't get to see the first stimulous either, nor did the weasels who just went ahead and voted for it anyway.

But then, why SHOULD we??? We just pay the bills around here!

Hey Mike...but he won the peace prize today! Only in office for such a short time and because of his "efforts to improve international relations," he is a "hero." Makes you want to puke huh? Wow. What a day and it is only 8:41!

Let's be fair now, Missy............the dumb-bell peace prize nominations had to be submitted by February of 2009, which by that time, Obama had been in office 2 or 3 whole weeks, impressing the world.

A guy who apologizes to everyone but his fellow Americans, IS obviously a guy looing for peace. (easier to submit, than stand up)!

Actually, I don't see why anyone on OUR side should be so upset with this. I mean, if Jimmy Carter and Yassar Arafat are past recipients.........how "prestigious" can that award actually BE?

The Nobel Peace Prize, now that's like being kissed by a hooker. Nothing to be taken seriously.

Forced payment on a health care reform bill, now that's like a mugging. Do your best to live through it, then track down the thieves and make them disappear.

It's good that THIS one isn't "coming to pass" as they say.
