A Time for EverythingPosted Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 7:50 AM
AS I READ EVEYONE'S COMMENTS TO MY LAST BLOG, I WAS INSPIRED TO OPEN UP THE OLD TRUSTY BIBLE. THERE IS GREAT WISDOM IN THESE PASSAGES.
A Time for Everything There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time to uproot, A time to kill and a time to heal, A time to tear down and a time to build, A time to weep and a time to laugh, A time to mourn and a time to dance, A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, A time to embrace and a time to refrain, A time to search and a time to give up, A time to keep and a time to throw away, A time to tear and a time to mend, A time to be silent and a time to speak, A time to love and a time to hate, A time for war and a time for peace. Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account. And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment--wickedness was there, in the place of justice--wickedness was there. I thought in my heart, "God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time for every deed." WOW! What happens in our lives has happened before and we must learn from it. I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.

I hope the "time" is soon because if we have to wait much longer there will be nothing left to worry about.
Great passage Kim and it does fit the situation indeed. I hope you have a very nice day. Off to ride!
And.........."There's a time to loack and load"-----------------------GYSgt Gracien------------Camp Pendleton, California, 1967
Would that time be now Mike or in another year or so? Why put off till Wednesday what could be done taday?
I'd be very surprised if it goes another year before even the ones "on the fence" have had enough.
Okay, Bazooka! How about this great song from "West Side Story" And it fits today as well.
"Just be cool, man!
Keep coolly cool, boy!
Don't get hot,
'Cause man, you got
Some high times ahead.
Take it slow and Daddy-O,
You can live it up and die in bed!
Boy, boy, crazy boy!
Stay loose, boy!
Breeze it, buzz it, easy does it.
Turn off the juice, boy!
Go man, go,
But not like a yo-yo schoolboy.
Just play it cool, boy,
Real cool!"
Patience! Patience! There will come a day but until then, just be cool, boy. (Time 6:33am)
I'm a little more personal with Merle Haggard's "Fightin' Side of Me", which I would dedicate to Obama and followers these days:
The bridge of the song goes:
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
Runnin' down a way of life our fighting men have fought and died to keep
If you don't loveit--leave it, let this song that I'm singin' be a warnin'
When you're runnin' down my country man, you're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
.......................remember that one?
Those were the days...
Yeah, when grass was something you walked on, coke was something you drank, we all "liked IKE", cruised the strip on Friday night and listened to Wolfman Jack, who made more sense than ANYTHING being broadcasted today.
