City: Boise When: April 15, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm MT Where: Ann Morrison Park to Capitol Park, March along Capitol Boulevard This is the perfect opportunity to have a voice, to show our government that we demand change. Change that is not more government, but less. Change that doesn't resemble the farce that has been spewed onto us. We demand that we have no taxation without representation. If our polictians are representing us, I see no proof of it. If you can go to this, please do. According to The American Tea Party Facebook: "America is on the brink of another revolution. In a new American Tea Party, citizens across the USA are beginning to protest giant government programs that reach deep into their pockets. These programs create huge economic burdens on American families and threaten their livelihood now and into the future." The theme for this nationwide protest is: Repeal the Pork, Cut Taxes and Spending. There are more than 500 tea parties confirmed and over 500 planned but not confirmed for that day, and it is expected that over the next week and a half, the number of tea parties will continue to grow. Crowds of 5,000 to 10,000 are expected in multiple cities, including Atlanta, where Sean Hannity of Fox News will be broadcasting live, Sacramento, where Neal Cavuto will host his show, San Antonio, where Glenn Beck will broadcast, and New York City, where Newt Gingrich will be a featured speaker. If you can't be there due to your job, it is understandable. In this day and age, we can't afford to lose what so many people have lost. Send your support in writing. Let the politicians know that you don't care if the media (most of whom are in the right pocket of Obama)are reporting that the things are getting better and the DOW is up. Who cares if it's up a week or so. Can I buy a car? Can I refinance my mortgage even though I have made every payment on time? Can I get a loan? Can someone do something about a loan that is $265 for interest and only $52 of my payment goes to principle a month? How is that stimulating? More like loan shark theft! Washington wants to keep spending money IT doesn't have because IT thinks that we will pay it? Well, I will not pay another dollar in taxes without steeping it in a hugh cup of hot water first. Let it steep and see just how strong it is. Not strong enough? Will it even color the water? I doubt it! I'll throw it out and try again next month. I doubt that it will be any stronger! So the day that that dollar bill is strong enough is the day that I will give to Uncle Sam. Until then, I will just keep my money circulating within my own city and state, but the feds will get nothing from me. Matter-of-fact, wouldn't it be great to print Elmore County Currency that we can use here to buy our needs. Buy from local people. Other cities have done it, why not here? Come on, Washington! Convince me that "Happy days" are here again. Do you really think that the majority of the smart people of this nation actually believe the words? Well read these words and think about it: Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who: -voted for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it -are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying? -consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected? -want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others? -punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not? -admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda? -run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China? -want government-controlled health care? -want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections? -refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country? -appoint a defender of child pornography to the No. 2 position in the Justice Department? -want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will? -want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home-heating fuels? -want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts? and a President and Congress who actually take money from your family budget to pay their federal budget? All people reading this, regardless of how you voted, can you actually stay fast to that fairy tale you believed when you cast your vote? Is this the American government that our husbands & wives, fathers & mothers, brothers & sisters, uncles & aunts, Grandfathers and Grandmothers of our history fought to preserve? It's time to lay aside your pride and admit that you were tricked into voting for it? Or will you hold onto that pride and spit in their faces and honestly say that you are supporting a government like that? Or will you stand and say, "No, not anymore. I really thought that it was the right vote but not anymore!" Just swallow and say it! Join with your fellow citizens who still believe in America! Now is the time to stand! I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I finished my sign yesterday Kim, and I'll be there regardless of the weather.
You know, there was a time when I used to see protest marches on television and think to myself...."damned radicals........" I could never have imagined that at age 61, I would be out there myself.
Difference NOW, is that THIS one is JUSTIFIED! There are some who say the government will just shirk this off. I beg to differ, because we are a growingly angry bunch of taxpayers who VOTE, and we have a lot of friends and family who do also. The thieves in Washington had BETTER be listening!
This thing is gonna be huge, on a nationwide scale and will NOT stop after tomorrow. The only people I have talked to who knew NOTHING about the tea parties, are those who get their news on NBC and such...............only proves what I've always said about the leftwing media, but even THEY will not be able to hide much longer. Their tv ratings are steadily dropping as more and more people are turning to FOX to get BOTH sides for a change.....heck, O'Reilly always makes sure there's a liberal guest on his "Great American Panel" and GERALDO RIVERA, one of the left's most coveted liberals, has his OWN SHOW on FOX. Who else is THAT fair and balanced?
Additionally, there are now some major newspapers in serious trouble of going under, including the liberal Idaho Statesman, which would certainly be no loss.
I've seen reports where the Army has been told to start gearing up for a revolt that the government fears is coming because of all the guns and ammo sales. Good. Very good.
They probably think that when the time comes, they'll just roll out a few tanks and helicopters and intimidate everyone. It worked in China's Tiananmen Square where the students only had rocks, but it won't work here.
First off, they'll never know who their "enemies" are. On daily patrol in Vietnam, the villagers always waved at us from their huts and rice paddies when we came through....but how many among them were VC? and where would they be when it got dark that night? You never knew who ANYONE was.
We were Marines..........obviously.......helmets, flak jackets, packs, radios, M-14's and M-16's, clearly identifiable, they KNEW who WE were!
2009...........the would-be oppressors will STILL be easily identified, not only because of the uniforms, but all the crap they have to carry, and the regimentation. On OUR side of the fence, the old boy walking out of the D & B Store tossing a dozen fence stakes in the back of his old Ford pickup, very WELL could be the guy who dropped a mule deer last year with one shot at 400 yards with his 7mm Magnum, far beyond the effective range of those little 55-grain bullets from the SWAT Team's M-16's.
As with the minutemen of the early colonies, the British had to watch every tree and stump. Citizens determined to REMAIN citizens and not subjects, aren't required to play by any rules, and when you're fighting for your own homeland, your freedom and the liberties of your families, you do what you have to do.
Our military isn't made up of robots, either. Killing pirates on the high seas is one thing. Gathering up the conscience to fire on your own people because some bureacrat says so, is quite another. Your own aunt and nephew might be somewhere in that crowd they just told you to fire into. Ya gonna do it?
I have interesting conversations, even among some of the guys on my own side. I remember the M-16 for example, when I was in Vietnam. It lacked stopping power at distance, accuracy at distance and had a bad tendency to jam. Today's version works a little better but it is still a 223, so when one of my buddies reminds me that the "bad guys" are gonna be packing M-16's, I always smile and say "I HOPE so!" as I run a patch through my 300 Winchester.
Sorry............didn't mean to get on a tangent, I just get fired-up at the THOUGHT of setting things right in this country. We cannot survive as a nation, under this current band of corruption. Can't be done. You can set rat traps out in the barn, but unless you clean the whole nest out, you'll always be infested with them.
This tea party is but the beginning, and I hope there's a strong enough turnout in EVERY city where they're being held, to block the streets!

Thanks Bazookaman for the response. I am hoping that many can go and represent those who can't. Unfortunately, I am scheduled to give a talk in Bruneau at the library so I can't be there. I wish that I had known that this was happening last month when I booked it. Swing your sign in the air for me, brother! I pray for the effectiveness of this as a peaceful revolt against the govt. I should be there too. I spoke to a mutual friend the other day Bazooka. Told him how to get ahold of me so we can go do some shooting now that my shoulder is healing. On another note, apparently Kim, Boazooka, me and others like us are radicals bent on commiting acts of terrorism like purchasing guns and living by our moral codes and the constitution. Interesting to know that all the things that I've done in my life make me a threat to the security of the nation. Own and buy guns, voice my opinion in blogs like these, be committed to my religious beliefs, who knew this was all an act of terrorism agains the United States. Well I have one thing to say to Napolitano and the likes of her...TOO D@*M BAD. The constitution was written by well armed, god fearing men who wanted to live free from oppression. They fought battles, threw tea into the sea and in the end they became a nation of free men. Now 200 years later we are at the door step of more oppression then we have known in our lifetime. Did it come from the communist, the marxist, the maoists? NO!!! It came from within. It came from people who ran an election calling for hope, for change. Now all I can hope for is enough change to feed my family.
Look at the DHS report. Read between the lines and see what is being said. It is laying the groundwork to take away our rights. our freedom of speech, our right to bear arms, our right to peacefully assemble. The administration has fired the first shots of rebellion by calling free AMERICANS, voicing their opinions, keeping their guns and bibles close to heart, RADICALS. Claiming we will use the excuse of a black American president to start riots. To use the current economic situation to hoard things like weapons, ammunition and food. Call me a fear monger, call me paranoid but watch. Print this blog and WATCH. Look back on this day and try to say, "We didn"t KNOW". You were told, you were given the information, the facts were there, they've always been there, from the earliest days of Obama's campaign. BUT YOU CHOSE TO IGNORE IT!! 52% of the voters in this country were sucked into the vacuum and USED. But WE are the radicals, not the people he buddied up with who actually BOMBED places within the United States, not the people who preached hatered and racism from the pulpit. NO, honest, hard working AMERICANS who live their life by the bible and the constitution. WE are the ones who need to be watched, to be hog tied to keep us from harming anyone.
We are being told to be tolerant, that we are ARROGANT. To HE!! with tolerance. I've tolerated about as much crap as I can hold. It's time for TRUTH, for JUSTICE. It's time for those we beleive that this country is good and deserves better than to bow to a foreign power to stand up and SCREAm in a voice that will be heard to the far corners of this globe. Tomorrow is that day, I'll be there. My voice will ring in with thousands of others, MILLIONS of others across this nation. We will be heard tomorrow, for if we are ignored it is only a matter of time before things will grow dark in this nation.
Janet Napolitano should be fired. As a non-conforming governor on illegals, she should never have been given all FIFTY states to oversee.
But.........Obama's decision-making talents being what they are.............
Bouncer........I heard a guy call into Mike Savage last night and brought up a good point to be wary of. It would NOT be unlike the feds to plant a few agents in the tea party crowds of various cities, to listen-in and maybe even INCITE a riot, so as to cast a dark shadow on our movement...........as some kind of justification for our new "messiah" to declare a "martial law." If that happens tomorrow anywhere near ME, there's gonna be one LESS.
Talk shows were very interesting over the radio tonight. "Big Sister Janet" seeks to put gun owners, military vets, and anyone who opposes this new communist government, on her "watch list"
Those of us who seek to fend off anti-American activities of any kind are to be deemed "right wing terrorists."
I agree with Savage completely, when he says that ANYONE who doesn't NOW understand the danger our country is in, doesn't DESERVE to have a vote or even LIVE here.
This was apparently a 9-page report from the Department of Homeland "In-security" that was intercepted by the Washington Post. When I finish this blog entry, I'm going to try to find it and read it in detail.
In a strange twist of logic, I understand there are even going to be some Democrats in support of a lot of these tea parties. You KNOW it's serious when even THEY are awake!

I wish you all luck in your cause. From an impartial standpoint, tax law has needed some change for a while but due to the complexity people usually shy away from it. I would say instead of amending existing law simply remove some of these laws and move on to the next chapter.
I think we should just level a straight up 10% and make congress figure out how to live on a budget. Then it will be fair and equal. Hmmm what a concept.
If 10% is good enough for Jesus, it certainly should be good enough for the devil.
