"Well............................."Posted Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at 1:47 PM
...............as Ronald Reagan would have said.....(and I wish he was still around to say it).............
In a handful of hours, we're gonna find out if the majority of people in this country actually ARE as gullible as they appear to be. What tenses me up the most, is that so many people are enjoying this "great barbeque", with the hot dogs, burgers, kegs, etc....they dont see the rattlesnakes crawling under the backyard fence. It might "feel good" now................... I'm REALLY mad at my OWN people to an even greater degree. With people like Ron Paul, Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney in our lineup, we run "Rino" John McCain. At first, I didn't think too much about it.........after all, what would it really take to beat Obama? Who with any sense, would have thought so many mice would actually FOLLOW that "pied piper?" "Well,,,,,,,we're gonna find out. I was thinking today about the first election I was old enough to vote in. 1972.........I was only 20 when I came back from Vietnam in 1968. '72.........Nixon vs McGovern '76.........Ford vs Carter '80.........Reagan vs Carter '84.........Reagan vs Mondale '88.........Bush Sr vs Dukakis '92.........Bush Sr vs Clinton vs Perot '96.........Clinton vs Dole vs Perot '00.........Bush vs Gore 'o4.........Bush vs Kerry '08.........McCain vs Obama ......It's been TWENTY full years since we've had someone to vote FOR, instead of having to decide the "lesser of two evils." Sad. This is what it's come to, and I've got a real bad feeling about this. I may have to find a spot out in the middle of nowhere and start building a bunker........(good thing I still remember how!) Lock and load Mike.
Don't run and hide, Mike, we need you too much. There's enough work to go around for everyone to make things better.
Nothing short of a revolt is going to make things better NOW, Senior Lady. No, I'm not running ANYWHERE, although when the moment comes, I WILL "hide" a bit under some camoflauge from time to time.
I've been slowly and methodically preparing for this since the Clinton years (I saw it THEN).
And Opinion Missy..........that's a GIVEN, little gal......that's a GIVEN!)
Mike, I share your degree of irritation and disappointment this morning. The irritation that good citizens of this country couldn't see through the media bologna and the disappointment that they actually voted him in. I heard on the news yesterday a woman crying and rejoicing. She said it was because Obama was going to,"fill my gas tank and make my mortgage payment." Hmmm. Scary. (I hope there's enough camoflauge for all of us!)
If you think about it....Obama IS going to fill her gas tank and make her mortgage payment. You and I are going to help him, through his "spread the wealth" plan.
If you want camoflauge, I wouldn't waste too much time getting it, or anything else you think you might need along those lines.
Gun shop was surrounded by cars and pickups this morning, 6 or 7 people walking around inside. Gun show at the fairgrounds this weekend will probably be packed.
I've seen this coming for enough years, that I'm not gonna have to "panic shop" at close-out prices.
Speaking of which, I've got a couple of things to do this afternoon, so I'd better get to it.
