Check into the news in Oregon, because on September 24 2008 at a christian college in Newberg, Oregon, someone did hang an effigy of Obama from a tree. And there were no race riots. There should of been though. But you didn't notice this because you only pay attention to conservative news, yes.

Where are you getting your news from, Jacknife? What's your source? If the mainstream media, (who has tried to display "troopegate" like some kind of international incident, because they have nothing else), had heard about what you just told us, it would be plastered on every major newspaper and television broadcast in the country.

I'm not rubing your statement, because people in this country DO stupid things from time to time..........(if you don't believe THAT, just wait until Tuesday)............I'm just curious to know where you saw or heard that.

(Highlights from the four minute audio) Obama decries the fact that "…the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of, basic issues of political and, and, and economic justice in this society." ("Economic justice in LiberalSpeak means taking money from people who work, and giving to people who won't work.)

He complained that the radical Warren Supreme Court wasn't radical enough, because it "...didn't break free from the essential constraints placed, uh, uh, by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution." He went on to complain that, "The Constitution doesn't say what the… government MUST DO on your behalf." (Things like supplying our every need from cradle to grave, all the while controlling every aspect of our lives.)

The tape concludes with Senator Government saying that the TRAGEDY of the civil rights movement was that the Constitution wasn't radically interpreted to force redistribution of wealth by the government. "We still suffer from that."

In answer to a question from a caller, he said that he didn't know if the courts could bring about "major redistribution of wealth" or "economic justice," but that he believed it could be accomplished politically. (If you were wondering about Obama's presidential priorities, wonder no more.)

Incidentally, in an effort to bolster the radios audience's confidence in his pretended Constitutional expertise, Obama referred to himself as a Law Professor. Just one more of his many lies. The radio interviewer properly introduced him with his real title -- "senior lecturer". This is a position often given to post-graduate students. Obama was never a Professor.

I live in Oregon now. The story about the George Fox University students hanging the Obama cut out from a tree is true.

It was racially motivated (as stated on the sign accompanying the hanging figure). It was given some press. People were mad. There was no rioting. The school took it down and found out who the students were etc.

The hanging Palin figurine made the Portland news last night too. LA officials investigated and searched for a legal basis to make the homeowners remove the mannequin, but there isn't one.

Perhaps your news sources just aren't covering very much??

Agenda baby.............agenda. Nobody in the news business is going to release ANYTHING damaging before Tuesday, unless it's against McCain/Palin.............Count on that.

We'tre gonna have to save this country ourselves, and it's going to take enough frustration, anger, patriotism and another "1776" to do it. We're being sold out, and at least half this country is too "stardusted" and ignorant to see it.

I've got to give ya THAT, lovemthome......ANYTHING is better than George Bush. Keep in mind though, that the Congress (where bills and legislation are introduced and passed, IS under Democrat Control, and Barney Frank is not a Republican. Inept as he is, Bush isn't to blame for EVERYTHING.

For the record, I don't think John McCain is any more on top of this economic problem than Obama is, but this "spreading the wealth" thing isn't the answer either. If anything, it's socialistic.

But I don't trust characters who don't respect our way of life, would sit down and parlay with terrorists, who INCLUDE known terrorists at his campaign meetings, who WON'T produce copies of his birth certificate for public view, who would open our borders to EVERYONE.......and in PARTICULER....... I SURE as heck am not going to support some clown who wants to dis-arm us!

Like most most Dems and many Reps, I already KNEW you voted "straight ticket." And this is the VERY reason we are where we are. I know people, and so do you, who would walk into a booth and vote for Charles Manson if his name was followed by a (D) or an (R).

Nobody bothers to check their voting records anymore, which occasionally show that the "other guy" has a better track record than YOUR guy does on the issues that concern you most.

I've been a registered Republican since i was old enough to vote, but have voted for Democrats and Independents as well, when they've stood better than "our" guy.

I supported Cecil Andrus EVERY time he ran for governor, and have supported Joe McNeal anytime he's run for ANYTHING. I didn't support Corder last time, and I'm not supporting him THIS time either.

I didn't support Bush. Didn't like Kerry either, so I voted for the Constitutional Party candidate whose name I STILL can't pronounce.

This "party loyalty" crap is JUST THAT!!

Putting country ahead of party, a LOT of us Republicans voted for Ross Perot.........and you guys didn't mind that a bit, eh?

I don't care about helping my party.I'm concerned about fixing my country that our kids are going to inherit, and our grandkids behind that.

Neither party is going to fix ANYTHING. It's going to take select individuals on both sides.............and if the truth be known, the BEST ideas would come from Independents..........you know, the "outsiders" who were farmers, ranchers and small businessmen yesterday, and would go to Washington with a very fresh sense of what it takes to survive out here.

But we the "party followers" ain't about to let THAT happen. We've gotta stick hard to those "D"'s and "R"'s baby, 'cause mom and dad, grandma and grandpa were always Democrats and Republicans and by God, so are we! There ARE no other ideas or values out there.......only the red or blue.........only the red or blue.

And we certainly can't vote for any of the other guys, no matter HOW they've vote on our issues...................well....BECAUSE...........because they're just not a card-carryin' "one of US!"

And so, lovemthome, we continue to do what we've always done, and we get what we've always got. Things continue to slide downhill, and we STILL do it some more.

We're PARTY MEMBERS first and foremost......Americans second.

There are a lot of Senators and Congressmen (BOTH sides) who've been in D.C. for 30 and 40 years (ie; experience)............is your life any better?

288 of the 435 are LAWYERS...........is your life any better?

Yet, we the people seem to have this great penchant to keep returning most of these incumbents into their little thrones, because they are D or R, AND, just look at all the experience they have...........easy to do, just look at their perks and bank accounts. They're "experienced" alright! Nobody's forclosing on any of THEIR homes, and the country is STILL sliding downhill.

I'm not knocking you personally, lovemthome. I'm sad to admit that many of MY "Limbaugh-Republican" friends are going to walk in there next Tuesday without batting an eye, and just obediently mark "R" "R" "R" "R" "R" "R".....then walk out, pull out his thumb and say......."My, what a GOOD BOY am I!"

The greatest travesty of all, is that every 4 to 6 years, WE get to be "the boss." WE get to do the "hiring and firing."

You and I will cancel each other out at the top of the ticket, but not all the way down. My "party" doesn't tell me how to vote. I do.

My pleasure to have been there. What I had to say needed to get said, although things like "ballots" only happen in a democracy, which may cease to exist after Tuesday.
