  • TRUTHFUL PATRIOTIC

In 1994, Todd Palin became a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. A group that would like to secede from the United States.

(Wasn't that what the CIVIL WAR was about?).

Joe Vogler the founder of the party stated that "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their **** flag." Sarah Palin attended one of their conventions and addressed one of their conventions via video.

Ms. Palins Pastors have said and done some questionable things as well. Expelling witches???

McCain Palin and Obama have skeletons in their closet. We have established that.

SO PLEASE can we focus on the issues.

People are LOSING their homes and way of life.

By the way Obama was in grade school when Ayers did his damage.

AND CHECK YOUR FACTS: THE COMPUTER.. THE INTERNET

It is indeed true that Senator Obama knows William Ayers and has had brief encounters with the man, including a political gathering at Mr. Ayers home and they sat on the same charity board together. The New York Times and the Associated Press have investigated and failed to find anything other than an educational board that connects the two men.

I have a feeling that it is some outdated prejudice that colors your opinion

  • I always vote for which every person I like not a certain party.. but I'm praying for the

Democrats to win and clean this mess up. Mike you really think Palin could run our country if McCain died..She has never has an office in the senate or house.. Come on wake up and smell the rose. Oh by the way did you see the reports on the groupthat palin and her husband belong to? they wanted to get Alaska to be indepentant and not belong to America. Her husband was actual a member.. I will get info for you since you think they are so perfect. Both sides have flaws you just need to clean your glasses.

  • This isn't a republican or democratic "mess". It's ALL of congress from the past 25 years. The Clinton administration and Bush administration are all to blame. This mess should wake people up to get rid of the 2 party division and start working together as Americans should!!!

Do people really think the country is better off with Pelosi, Obama and Mr. "make stories up as I go" Biden?

Look at Pelosi's home state. I don't think I need to go any further than that.

Biden, the one that was telling people how FDR was on TV back during the Depression? I don't think TV was invented yet if history serves me right. He doesn't even know what his job as VP will be! Palin does. That is why the majority (D) is shaking in their boots, digging ANYTHING they can.

Yeah, life would be great with the Dems. Higher/more taxes, more gov control over the people and the Constitution being ripped to shreds.

  • I'm a little confused.

Let me see if I have this straight.....

    * If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're

    "exotic, different."

    * If you grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, you're a

    quintessential American story.

    * If your name is Barack, you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

    * If you name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

    * If you graduate from Harvard law School, you are unstable.

    * If you attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're

    well grounded.

    * If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the

first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter

registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years

as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator

representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of

the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years

in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people

while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs,

Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you

don't have any real leadership experience.

    * If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city

council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000

people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people,

then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking

    executive.

    * If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while

    raising

2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a

    real Christian.

    * If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your

disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a

    Christian.

    * If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including

the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

    * If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no

other option in sex education in your state's school system, while

your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very responsible.

    * If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in

a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city

community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values

    don't represent America's.

    * If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI

conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until

age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession

of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

    OK, *much* clearer now.

  • Cawren:

thanks for the information. Guess Mike isn't going to write back to you about his party. He probably doesn't like it that you found all the information on Palin and her husband.

  • 150,000 new voters? Was that with "voter fraud" ACORN?

  • Wondered when someone was going to turn this into a RACE thing.

It's not even worth debating with someone who pulls the race card...BUT, look up marxism. Hopefully you can figure out that is what Obama mirrors...eh, comrade?

-- Posted by clam chowder on Wed, Oct 8, 2008, at 4:23 PM
  • SCM and Can't JustWatch neither of you brought up any topics to argue! I think racism is worth talking about, and anybody who doesn't think this is a race/sexism is a factor in this election is NAIVE.

Sarah Palin could very well be our next president... IF John McCain is elected. If he were inaugurated he would be our oldest President ever, and he's lived a rough life, and I don't think he's a young 72 year old. While I do commend John McCain for his service, and what he did for his country, I don't think he is the right person to lead our country at this point, and I definitely think that Sarah Palin is incredibly poor choice for Vice President... considering everything that is going on in our country right now. She has concentrated the last week on spewing hate, instead of focusing on the issues, and it is hurting the McCain/Palin campaign... the Ayers "thing" is incredibly weak sauce, and only "right-wing" whackos could make it into something that it is not.

Cant JustWatch for your own info I have had a job since I was 12, my parents are normal "Joe Sixpack" type of people from Mtn. Home, and along with the the "great" taxpayers of this nation, and myself I was able to go to college and graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from Boise State University... so that I could get a job and afford the best computer money could buy, and leave messages on message boards at my hometown newspaper, and **** everybody off... Freedom of Speech... It rocks!!!

  • I would have an intelligent response for you... if I understood the point you were trying to make... you're just rambling... and simply you don't make any sense.

I went to college and I did receive federal aid and scholarships, but I still had to put a lot of my own money into my education... with ZERO financial input from my parents.

The whole point of the Tim Wise article is that if the events that have occurred in Governor Palin and Senator McCain's life occurred to Barack Obama... Obama would be criticized on a much higher level.

-- Posted by FormerMtnHomie on Wed, Oct 8, 2008, at 10:12 PM
  • I'm not going to argue with a race baiter. Whether you think I'm the one that's nieve or not.

I am a retired vet and have gone to war with MEN. Not white guys, not black guys, but men. Obama wanting to wipe his feet on our constitution and military, that's why I don't like the guy.

The media changes everything to race/sexism. Narrow-minded people change everything to a race/sexism thing.

The media has constantly bashed Sarah Palin since day 1. But nobody can actually answer the question of: What has Obama accomplished to warrant being the President of the United States?

But we all know what's going to happen. Mark my words, if Obama doesn't get elected, the media/liberals will spin it up as America still hasn't advanced past racism. And the people who can't think for themselves will be brainwashed into believing it.

-- Posted by clam chowder on Thu, Oct 9, 2008, at 11:05 AM
  • This presidential campaign isn't COMPLETELY about race/sex, but it does play a factor. Michelle Obama has said some stuff that Mike mentioned earlier that he deemed unpatriotic, but I think we need to think about where she is coming from as a Black American Woman. Women and minorities still have have boundaries that need to be broken down - YES THERE ARE BOUNDARIES, WHETHER, OR NOT YOU WANT TO ADMIT IT...

This is my last post (aren't you glad, I am). I think if you guys know so much, you should personally run for office in Mountain Home/Elmore County , because your city/county have some of the most inept leaders of all time(I actually think the mayor is good, but the commissioners are definitely bad)... or maybe you guys should get on the school board, because those guys are definitely super-duper bad, I wouldn't send my kid to school in Mtn. Home ever!

Well, I'm done with this mastabatory blog, I'll rejoin in when Mike gets elected to something... because, apparently he's the smartest man ever, and I'll also send him a greeting when Barack wins!

Cant Justwatch and SCM I don't believe you guys have jobs, so I'm sure you'll have a nice speedy response... am I correct!!!

-- Posted by FormerMtnHomie on Thu, Oct 9, 2008, at 1:31 PM
  • cant justwatch,

I chuckled when I read that last comment from Homie. Thought he/she could come up with something better than that. Having a Bachelor's degree and all.

He/she is just trying to get a rise out of someone. The thought process, beliefs and attitude of people like him/her is what's running this country into the ground.

Once Obama gets in and starts his tax and "shared wealth" ideas, that Bachlor's degree won't be worth any more than toilet paper.

-- Posted by clam chowder on Thu, Oct 9, 2008, at 4:23 PM
  • Sorry man, but if your going to start comparing Pearl Harbor to Hiroshima/Nagasaki you might as well get your stats correct: Total dead Americans @ Pearl Harbor= 2,403

    Total dead Hiroshima/Nagasaki= 105,000

The majority of the dead at Pearl Harbor were Military and only something like 65 civilians. The dead at Hiroshima/Nagasaki was over all civilian. Don't get me wrong, I believe all death in the name of war is wrong. But the Military get paid to put themselves in the line of fire and the civilians don't. And that many dead civilians, not to mention the injured, created by two bombs should be given some kind of "reparations" as you say. You shouldn't compare numbers like that pal.

Now onto your race relations: If you've actually been to inner cities, southern states and really looked around you would see that there is still mass amounts of inequality towards non-whites. Christ man, even in our state. You act as though the caucasian is a minority and we're down trodden. We are the majority and we still get the leg up in society before non-whites. Fear and paranoia is where you get ideals and opinions. If you were really an "honest" guy you would admit that you are just a closet case racist, then you'd be happier with your surroundings.

And onto the Confederate flag which will put the nail in the coffin. That rag is the symbol of slavery, that was it's essential stand. Like the Red flag with swastika will always stand for hate.

So pull your head out and look around for once in your life. Take the blinders off and you'll see that your opinions are completely miss-informed. You've been believing the hype that's been sold to you for so long you can't make a truelly informed comment. Your just another government sheep that thinks he has that right answers, because you watch T.V. and read the Local Paper.

I'm done wasting time with you. You are just like every other hill billy in Mtn. Home.

  • That's all you got?

Let's define Liberal- favoring progress or reform, open-minded or tolerant, characterized by generosity and a willingness to give in large amounts.

Is there something wrong with these ideals/characteristics? They seem pretty sane to me and other's with a mind to think clearly. But it seems that you are mentally infested with silly slogans and overly repeated media garbage that you call fact.

Ban mudflaps, ban beer guts, ban pick-up trucks, ban trucker hats, ban ignorant loud mouths,....

-- Posted by Jacknife on Fri, Oct 24, 2008, at 1:23 AM
  • If it wasn't about #'s why you'd you bother putting it down? Seems you flip-flop more on your issues then the politicians do.

I like your likening America to a pit-bull. It's just a vicious, mutant dog, bred to do damage in the worst possible way. More often then not, the horrible beast has been around the hood terrorizing smaller animals and deserves a kick in the face. If not a lead filled baseball bat to the skull. So it goes,...

It would definitely be a sad day, if somehow you managed to find a tavern with George Washington. Because he wouldn't drink with you, let alone be in the same beer hall with ya. He was a wealthy land owner, like all the rest of the old leaders that scribed the constitution. The only reason for the act was to secure their own rights as rich leaders. And the only reason the poor were considered, was as tax payer's, contributor's to the bank accounts of the greedy, slaves to be worked over. Slaves who built this nation.

And again, you need to check your fact's, it is the Dem's and republicans who have been systematically Dismantling the Bill of Rights. You of all people should know this, what with the fear based opinions you hold. I mean Christ, in the end, why would you chose the lesser of two evils? Both sides are out to take this country down the *****'R. You need to get your boys together and head out and start your revolution before it's too late. But alas, it is too late. The people are too weak minded to fight along side you now. The Government we grew-up with has become a closet dictatorship and any angry mobs will be sent to detention camps on some obscure island or shot. The only way to win this thing is to convince enough people(voters) to quit voting for the Donkey and Elephant crew. But that's not going to happen. We're all to far gone to truly care.
