Ina Pearl Ellen Collins Phillips, 71, formerly of Elmore County, died July 8, 2004, in Silverton, Wash.

A private family service was held July 16 and a Celebration of Life for family and friends was held at her home in Silverdale on Saturday, July 17.

She was born in Anthony, Kan., on Dec. 17, 1932, to Rufus Ray and Lena Mary Madsen Collins.

They moved to Glenns Ferry where she was raised and graduated from high school and worked in Mountain Home. She moved to western Washington as a young lady where she owned several businesses and worked with the Kitsap Community Action Program until her retirement.

She married Dan "Bud" Phillips, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by: her children, Alissa Jones, Elena Matson and her husband, Harry, of Port Orchard, Wash; Cindy McClure, Pamela Huddleston and her husband, Ken, all of Bremerton, Wash.; Bruce Pennington of Aberdeen, Wash.; Deborah Beach and her husband, Robert "Steve," of Cowlington, Okla.; Arilla Waters and her husband, Gerald, of Fallon, Nev.; Vicki Brown and her husband, Lester, Earl Phillips and his wife, Windy, Dan Allen Phillips, Billy Phillips and Buddy Phillips and his wife, Marles, all of Silverdale, Wash.; JoeDee Phillips of Palmetto, Fla.; Patricia Cordero and her husband, Edward, of Seabeck, Wash.; Donna Phillips of Elma, Wash.; Roy "Skip" Pennington and Rick Pennington of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Rosa May Mary Transue of Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Rufus Lee Collins, of Bremerton, Wash.; four step-sisters, Mary Strand of Port Orchard, Wash., Midge Mitchell and Lula and Lola Huggins of Nampa; three stepbrothers, Melvin, Jim and Alvin Mitchell; 53 grandchildren and more than 70 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Christine Sue Newel, and two brothers, George and Lloyd Collins.
