Local election results confirmed

Representatives from Secretary of State Phil McGrane’s office in Boise met at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge on Nov. 25 to conduct a hand count of the ballots cast during the Nov. 4 election in Elmore County. A procedural error caused 388 ballots to not get included in those initial election results.

The certified results involving the Elmore County elections held last month remained in place following a judicial review held last week.

Following a hand count conducted at the request of Secretary of State Phil McGrane and Elmore County Clerk Shelley Essl last month, District Judge Theodore Fleming completed this review in accordance with state law.
