Bill Fuller of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday March 5, 2023, at the age of 81. Services with Military Honors will be held on March 20, 2023, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, in Boise. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Bill was born in Ada, Oklahoma on October 13, 1941, along with his twin brother Joe. They were two of four boys born to Caleb and Lula Pearl Fuller.
He attended North Torrance High School California, graduating in 1960. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force while dating his High School sweetheart, Darlene Bonnie Kidd. They later married on August 15, 1964. Together they had three daughters: Bonnie, Barbara, and Brandie.
During Bill’s years in service, he served in Vietnam and thereafter stationed at March Air Force Base in California, and soon after, was stationed at Moron Air Force Base, Spain and then Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB), Idaho where he later retired in 1980. While stationed at MHAFB, he attended BSU, Park University, and CSI. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Master of Science Education, and a Master of Sociology/Psychology.
Upon retirement in 1980, Bill worked at Elmore Medical Center as the Purchasing Agent for ten years. He then went back to MHAFB to work for Civil Service for the Tactical Logistics Squadron for 17 years.
Bill was an avid Remote Controlled Airplane builder and flyer. He was also a classic car builder & collector where he attended many car shows with his wife and daughter by his side.
Bill is survived by his children: Bonnie Fuller-Smith (RB), Barbara Christiansen (Gary), and Brandie Kramer, and sister-in-law Bonnie Imsland (Larry), six grandchildren, Garrett, Bonnie D., Breann, Nicole, Courtney, and Kaylie. Also, twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Caleb & Lula Pearl Fuller, his wife Darlene, and his three brothers Charles, Curtis, and twin brother Joe.
