Raymond F. Robison, 64 of Grand View, Idaho passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 3, 2023. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 11 am at Rimrock High School in Bruneau. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Raymond was born on November 29, 1958 to Clifford “Robbie” and Verla Robison in Phoenix Arizona. He is the oldest of 3 children. The family was stationed in Arizona, England, and Virginia before settling in Grand View in 1968. Even as a young child, Raymond was very social and liked having lots of people and activity surrounding him. In 1987, Raymond and Donna Duty’s paths crossed again and they married on January 27, 1989. This union made them a family of 6.

Raymond spent many years ranching, until he found his passion of logging in 1985. He cut logs for Rocky Mountain Helicopter Company and logging took the family to Alaska for two years. When returning from Alaska, Raymond and Donna began their business Robison Logging and continued logging until the mid-1990’s when Raymond and Donna expanded their business to heavy equipment construction and became known as Robison Logging and Excavation.

Raymond enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family and friends. The family spent many summers at the lake, where he would spend the days pulling kids around on tubes and fishing. Raymond’s yearly trips of fishing in Washington and Elk Camp in the mountains were the highlights of his year! Raymond will be remembered the most by his generosity and kind heart by his family, friends, and community.

Raymond is preceded in death by his father Robbie Robison, Step-Father Paul Spang, mother-n-law Mary Marsh, all his grandparents, two nieces, and two brother-n-laws.

Raymond is survived by his wife Donna Robison, mother Verla Robison, 4 children: Chez Robison (Peter) of Grand View, Sheldon Robison (Rochelle) of Bend, Oregon, Travis Jewett (Jodi) of Grand View, Dustin Jewett (Jessie) of Mountain Home, and two sisters, Leslie “Jolene” Covey (Mike) of Grand View and Debbie Martin of Grand View. Eleven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family would like to thank Horizon Home Health and Jan Ireland for her loving hands taking care of Raymond the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Grand View Ambulance, PO Box 191 Grand View, ID 83624.
