Shoshone-Bannock Casino Update

11.14.22 - Following BoiseDev’s pursuance of an economic impact study on the proposed Shoshone-Bannock casino, new details have emerged on the future of Mountain Home should the project be approved. Randy’L Teton, spokesperson for the Sho-Ban tribe noted that the process for approval is a long one, and should the project ultimately be approved, it likely wouldn’t see completion or even ground breaking within the next two years.

The economic impact study conducted by The Innovation Group estimated that the project would add $187.2 million into the local and state economy each year. The study also estimates that the casino would create just over 1,200 jobs and suggested that 80% of those jobs would be occupied by Mountain Home residents both current and future.
