Amy “Kathy” Taylor

On July 12, 2022, Amy “Kathy” Taylor lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.

After a short, but courageous fight she went to be with her love, Lester, in heaven.

She was born Oct. 14, 1961, in Ontario, Oregon to Walter and Marthena Mitchell, the youngest of six children. While they named her Amy Kathleen, the family called her Kathy.

At the age of one, the family moved to King Hill, Idaho, and Amy spent the rest of her days in the area, graduating from Glenns Ferry High School in 1980. In 1988 she met and married Lester Taylor, and a sweet baby girl soon followed. Sarah was the apple of her parent’s eyes.

Most of Amy’s adult years were spent working for the Heath family at Heath Electronics and JW Electronics. Amy was a gentle, kind soul that could light up a room with her smile, and she gave amazing hugs. While we rejoice that she is no longer suffering, her absence is felt deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother David Mitchell, and sister Carolyn Hall. She is survived by her daughter Sarah (Seth) Huskinson, brother Earl (Myrna) Mitchell, sisters Mary (Ron) Belliston and Margie Harris. A memorial service will be held in her honor at the King Hill Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 29th, 2022, at 11:00. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
