Carlos Humberto Jácome, born in Los Angeles, CA on May 30, 1950, passed on August 8, 2021, in Mountain Home, ID.

Carlos was a loving husband and best friend to Jane, a dedicated father and friend to Aline and Lynnette, an adoring and fun Abuelo to Adeline, Sophia, and Vonn, and a father-in-law, who encouraged and mentored his sons-in-law, Steve and Paul. Carlos was a dedicated and much-appreciated son-in-law to Joseph and Pamela Hodge, a loyal brother-in-law to Lynne and Deborah and a loving brother to Tommy, Michele, Marta, Richard, Juan Jose, Gabriel, Raul, Mercedes, and Joaquin Jácome. He was a devoted and loving son to his mother Geneva Cespedes and was preceded in death by his father Tomás Jácome and his stepfather Alvaro Echeverría.

Growing up in the country of Panama, Carlos had a contagious zeal for life, learning, and making friends wherever he went. As a young adult he enlisted in the United States Air Force, meeting his loving wife, Jane in Zaragoza, Spain. Carlos served in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant as an aircraft maintainer, and retired at 21 years from Mountain Home, AFB. He loved the City of Mountain Home and contributed to the community lending his talents and love of sports to the Mountain Home High School, Parks and Rec, and Club Girls Soccer Teams for twenty plus years. Carlos went on to work for Williams Co., and retired at 20 years of service. After his second retirement Carlos was happy to spend more time with his family in Idaho and Panama, golfing, traveling, working on home improvement tasks, and working for the US. Forest service as a YCC crew leader.

Carlos gave of himself generously, holding nothing back no matter how long his day was. He lent his love and time to all that needed it, even when you wouldn’t burden him to ask. Words simply cannot capture the man that Carlos was while he was here on this earth with us. He will be greatly missed and apart from God those of us left behind will be weaker without him. We look forward to that day when we will again join our much-loved husband, father, and truest friend in heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ……. we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them (those asleep in Christ) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

We love you Carlos, Daddy, Abuelo.

In respect of his wishes, he has been cremated and a celebration of life will be planned accordingly in the mountains of Idaho, where he loved to work, explore and find new friends.

Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
