Edward D. Washik Jr.

Edward D. Washik Jr., age 89, of Mountain Home, passed away at his daughters home on July 29, 2021. No services will be held per Edwards’s request. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Edward was born May 5, 1932 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, the only child of Edward and Anna (Adamski) Washik.

Ed met and fell in love with his beautiful wife Pauline Sovis in Johnson City. They were married for 67 years. During their marriage, they welcomed 3 children.

Ed served in the US Air Force for 20 years. During this time, he served in both the Korean and Viet Nam wars. Finally settling down in Mountain Home in 1967. Ed retired from the USAF in 1971 in which he received the Bronze Star for his service. He had a passion for horses and his family pets, and loved going hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends.

Ed is survived by his wife Pauline, his 2 daughters Patricia and husband Kelly and Debra and husband Rodney, 1 son Michael and wife Katy along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ed joins his beloved parents and his granddaughter Jennifer in heaven.
