TRAFFIC WARNING FOR THIS SUNDAY, JULY 25th

Tuesday, July 20, 2021

This weekend on Sunday, the 11th Annual Patriot Thunder Motorcycle Ride will be filling our interstate (I84) with the roar and rumble of Patriot Pride and support.

Sponsored annually by High Desert Harley-Davidson, riders will be gathering at their site in Meridian. This year’s ride is limited to the first 1200 motorcycles, and is an escorted event from the HDHD site to Carl Miller Park in Mountain Home Idaho via I84.

This incredible event benefits the Idaho Guard & Reserves, the Family Support Fund and Operation WarmHeart.

From the Harley-Davidson parking lot, riders will leave and enter the interstate with kickstands up at 10 am a a police escort at the EB I84 Eagle Rd entrance with an ETA of 11:15 at Mountain Homes Carl Miller Park followed by live music, food trucks and activities in the park.

There is not an official ITD traffic alert at this time, but past history has Law Enforcement reducing speeds and temporary blocked access to the freeway from the starting entrance to exit 95 in Mountain Home. This is done to accommodate the several hundred riders that are participating to remain in a group, and the traveling public will not be permitted to join the motorcycle procession.

Idaho State Police and multiple local law enforcement agencies from Ada to Elmore County will monitor traffic and interstate access at the interchanges during the route. This will be affect for the route before, during and after the ride.

If your travels this Sunday find you time wise within these parameters, be aware, and alert to traffic changes in your route.
