Mountain Home woman murdered in what appears to be a case of Domestic Violence

Members of the Mountain Home Police Department and the Idaho State Police Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Processing Unit were on scene after finding a deceased person while investigating a missing person on July 28.

On July 28, 2020 officers of the Mountain Home Police Department responded to a home in the southwest area of Mountain Home while investigating a missing person. Upon arrival at the residence officers discovered a deceased person in the residence. This is an ongoing investigation and details are limited, however, it would appear that the death is a result of domestic violence involving an estranged husband. The Idaho State Police was contacted and members of the ISP Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Processing Unit are assisting with the investigation. The suspect is in custody in Pecos, Texas and is being held on a charge of Failure to Report a Deceased Person with $500,000.00 Bond. The children are safe and were located with the suspect. There is no danger to the public at this time. No further information is available as we are in the beginning stages of the investigation.
