Request your Absentee Ballot

Friday, April 17, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all voting for the May 19th Primary will be through Absentee Voting. Go to the Idaho Votes Website at www.idahovotes.gov to register to vote, update your voter registration and/or to request your ballot. You can also request to have a registration form mailed to you. Elmore County is currently having about a week waiting period between requesting your ballot and receiving it in the mail. The Elmore County Courthouse now has a secured ballot drop box outside the building where you can drop off your registration forms and your completed ballots.

Requested my ballot over two weeks ago and got nothing. So not sure who is saying there is about a week wait between the request and the ballot going out. I am not the only one to say this. Maybe you can find out why.

Requested mine via the Idaho Web site on 31 March, showed as issued 13 April. Got my ballot today with a post mark of 27 April. IMO the county is WAY behind the times when it comes to modern ways. I sent an email to email link on the county page last week and got no reply. As a voter not pleased with the lengthy process and lack of communication. And be patient, think I have been since I requested my ballot very early and still took almost a MONTH to get.
