Commissioners discuss water and building updates

Friday, February 14, 2020

The Elmore County Commissioners held their regular meeting Friday morning, Feb. 7 in the basement of the courthouse.

There was discussion over a bill from Idaho Power going back to 2016, presented by Julie Lisle in regards to the fairgrounds. The county can't go back that far to pay bills, according to the attorneys. The board has also noticed a lack of consistency of itemized charges in the fairground power bill. Chairman Al Hofer suggests a discussion and requests that they "provide some actual accounting."

After an executive session, the BOCC received bids from commercial contractors for the Fair Grounds RV Project. Bids were checked for completion and will be taken under review. The contract will be awarded at the next regular meeting on Friday, February 14, 2020.

The Mountain Home Irrigation District met with the commissioners to check in and work on getting on the same page. For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
