Charles “Dean” Harrison, age 61, of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dean was born June 15, 1958, in Stafford, Kansas, to Charles Gary Harrison & Kay Ellis (Harrison). He graduated in 1976 from Mount Miguel High School in San Diego, California. He later moved back to Kansas in the spring of 1981.

Before retiring in 2002, Dean worked as a Road Construction Supervisor for Venture Corporation of Great Bend, Kansas, for 15 years.

After traveling through Mountain Home while going to see his son in Seattle, Dean fell in love with Idaho and decided to make it his home. In October 2016, Dean met the love of his life Dawn Best on a motorcycle ride. They later married in June of 2018.

Dean loved the open road and riding his Harley was one of his biggest passions. He also enjoyed going to sporting events with friends and family.

Dean is survived by his parents, wife, Dawn Harrison Best, step-daughter, Izzy Best, sons, Michael Harrison and his wife Tasha, twins, Jake and Zachary Harrison and daughter, Monica Harrison, 2 grandchildren, brothers, Don Harrison (Loretta), Dan Harrison (Kris), sisters, Tammy Moore (Dave), Treva Koob (Todd) & Sister in law, Harvinder Harrison. He was also a beloved Uncle to a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by grandparents, George & Donna Ellis of Kansas, Hershel & Marie Harrison of Washington, and his brother, Dale Harrison of Texas.

Memorial services will be held in Hutchinson, Kansas, and a Memorial ride will be held later this spring in Mountain Home. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, Idaho.
